good priced cpu?

intel core 2 duo

it has alot of great reviews and is cheapest 2.66ghz core 2 duo
my main question is if it would hold up to ut3 on highest setting or atleast et:qw

Well, I purchased a E6300 (1.83GHz, 1066 FSB) 6 months ago for $20 cheaper, so I would say it is a good deal.

Alot of it comes down to how much money you want to spend. We are kind of a in a odd spot right now with the transition to DX10. The DX10 cards are not blowing away the DX9 cards until you get up into the 8800s and HD2900s from what I understand. So, if you are staying with XP, it may be worth it to llook at the DX9 cards.
