Guess I'm going to have to get serious about this and waiting apparently isn't going to help .

So I've had this case kicking around for awhile paid virtually nothing for it. Is it worth it to still use it ? BTW I have it in black , anyone see any drawbacks ?

I already scavenged the power supply out of it and will be going with a bigger one .

I don't see why you couldn't use it. The name of the game is quality under a budget. If you have things that will do the job right then be sure to use them. I am using my DVD-Rom and DVD+-RW from my current machine before I sell it.

I will add though that I see it takes only 80mm fans on the front and back instead of 120mm. My current case takes only 80mm, but after reading some info on keeping things a bit quieter, I went with a case this time with 3 120mm fan spots. You may want to get a fan controller for your 3.5" spot or open PCI spots to keep the noise down as much as possible.

I do agree with you to get a good power supply. When I built my current rig, I went with the 400w supply that came with my crappy Aspire case. BAD idea - almost fried everything.

This time I went for quality. After three hours of research and looking for deals, I picked up this one:

It is 63.90 after rebate as of today, and has free shipping. It has one 41 amp rail and several solid reviews on the net. Here is one of the reviews:

I already got mine - this thing is well packed and seems really nice.

Bomzin are you sure thats not BTX? if it is then you need to find a BTX mother board or you will have cooling issues!

There is no TX that I know of. ATX with all of its varients, micro, mini, nano. Then there is BTX which is not very popular.

AT was the one 10 years ago.

Edit: Do you have a link to that MB? I am 99.9999% sure that that is a misprint and means ATX, but it could be BTX.

The Abit IP35-E is an ATX form factor board. It was one of the boards I considered before I decided on the Gigabyte one.

It has a lot of reviews online that says it is a kick-ass overclocker, and was previously on rebate.

Did your case come with this mobo? If so, it's a good one.
