I was playing on the invasion server and the game suddenly crashed. Now I keep getting this message when I try to load the game:

UT2004 Build UT2004_Build_[2005-11-23_16.22]

OS: Windows XP 5.1 (Build: 2600)
CPU: AuthenticAMD Unknown processor @ 2207 MHz with 1278MB RAM
Video: NVIDIA GeForce 7900 GS (6921)

LockRect failed: 8007000E

History: UD3DRenderDevice::ReadPixels <- UD3DRenderDevice::Present <- UGameEngine::Draw <- UWindowsViewport::Repaint <- UWindowsClient::Tick <- ClientTick <- UGameEngine::Tick <- Level Untitled <- UpdateWorld <- MainLoop <- FMallocWindows::Free <- FMallocWindows::Realloc <- 10910191 0 FArray <- FArray::Realloc <- 0*2 <- FMallocWindows::Free

Googling critical error didn't really help any suggestions?

Try clearing your cache.

Hmmm I clear my caches daily unless the UT2004 program has its own cache I don't know about.

It should be in your UT2k4 directory.

Just delete everything in the cache directory. Whatever you need, it will download from the server or redirect server. When you uninstall, make sure that the entire directory structure is gone. A lot of the time, an application will uninstall but leave stuff floating around.

Ok ended up fixing it without cache clearing. I updated my video card drivers yesterday and the game was working but it stopped all together, so I decided to use my old drivers and now its working fine. Thanks for all the help.
