Gorz Maps
Your somewhat correct, a cicida is a goliath class vehicle. Which means respawn times are longer, high vehicle strenght, and slow mover. However your standerd cicada would just be to much power on that map. I have seen fondles/with a good gunner pilot it for most of a map before getting shot down.

I've shot down Raptors and other Cicadas in a Cicada before. I'm working on being able to take down node 5 on Urban with a Cicada, the couple times I tried I was very unlucky to be facing like 5 people in a closed area without a gunner and I sorta died.
Ive seen it done in our server before. However since most teams just park the goliath on the other side getting it down isnt much use if you can get it down but cant get it back up. The best use for the cicada is actaully troop support. Helping take down nodes, and removing objects like tanks. Its sort of like an enhanced raptor in many aspects, and still has the draw backs of being obliterated by twinbeams (missles arent accurate from a distance), being shock raped by ground troops, and being hard to manuvear for squishes.
Unless you play on the ONS power ladder at twl, or use it in a friendly scrim with DW. You will never see a cicada in a match.
Now lets get back on topic, The node closest to the core is hard to hard to get up. Especially with the minitour right there. How about removing the node and placeing it in a more sheltered spot. This is the same problem like maelseverance, where you have a minitaur and levi waiting for you at the close node.

If you ask meI would have to say that I much rather have the origanal map for AIRMARS it was much more enjoyable.I dont really play airmars any more because of the gorz.Do not get me wrong there are other maps that I didnt play until they were gorz so in my opinion for airmars some things are better left untouched

The problem with AirMars is this: You can't polish a turd.
The concept is great. The gameplay no matter what version you play is horrible. The original is fun until one team has completely controlled the center airship. Then the map is over. If they get control after 3 minutes, the next 12 minutes is torture.
Don't get me wrong, I love controlling that center ship and camping with the shock, but for the team that's down, it REALLY sucks.

yes i can see your point but i guess i like to play for the raptor battles and you get good teams you can have a nice battle for the centership so when you look at the big pic pan back you have the raptors bursting in air the top gun top gun top guuunnnnn!!!! ads an awesome aspect of the map
p.s. i guess what i am trying to say is it is one of the only real
dogfight type maps and i guess i dig that sort of map

If someone really liked the original version of airmars I can think of some changes that would probably help cut down on the problem Toxic mentions. The addition of at least 2 more nodes within or perhaps even on top of the main airship and bringing in the primaries closer to their respective cores would be a good place start.
At the miniumum, the current enclosed middle side nodes are far too protected right now. Doing something like was done for ZeroImpact's center node - opening up the ceiling (and sides for Airmars perhaps) of the main ship's walls with skylights and access points so those nodes can't be defended so easily.
The primaries also need to be a bit closer than they are currently with perhaps jumpads or one-way teleports from the core so that a team down to the core and having their base raped of all vehicles has some chance of getting out to where they are needed.

yep need something to make taking down those middle nodes on airmars easier. If that done .I would get rid of the gorz on that map .
Then again you could always bring back raptor skies. :clown:
The Ciccada will overpower Tank Me Up , IMHO . The hammer head is totally aimable, just learn to fly the beast. Personally I see no problems with Tank Me UP> With good even teams that map lasts. Adding a Ciccada when teams are unbalanced will only make problems worse.
