Since the Unreal Tournament series creation, the game has been known to bring out some of the most dedicated and vocal players. Though Unreal Tournament III has developed mixed opinions from the most critical of critics, it has also relit the fire in several gamers' eyes. Two such communities are taking their desire "across the pond" to the international players. http://www.Zerofrag.com and http://www.justWARFARE.com have worked together to in creating the first, of possibly many, War of the Nations : North America vs. Europe. The inaugural event will take place on European soil live on http://www.E-Rev.Tv on February 16th and the North American coverage by E-Rev will take place on the 23rd.

http://www.Zerofrag.com is a newly formed North American Warfare community site created by several hardcore Warfare / UT2004 Onslaught players. It has declared itself home to those players out there who are looking to encourage the growth of the Warfare community. It encourages clan recruitment, talk about competitive and public Warfare, as well as making itself somewhat of a home for those Warfare Map Creators who are looking for constructive criticism on their contributions to the community. They already host release client versions of several maps, as well as final releases of some maps that may soon be played on a server near you. Zerofrag plays host to both Public and PUG servers. All details the details you need to find out how to play on these servers can be found at http://www.Zerofag.com. Some of the US teams that will be represented in this event are T5K, PhX, .Exe (previously v3x), DoW, and KoNa, which was also the team that represented the US in the Clanbase UT2004 Onslaught Nat
ion Cup.)

If you are a European who is also looking for Warfare players in your area, hit up http://www.justWARFARE.com. This is a Warfare community site specifically designed to target the Euro player. It hosts friendly discussions about UT3 and also encourages community growth. They also have a group of mappers working to create custom content to bring to the community, as well as places to look for clan recruitments. JustWARFARE also plays host to five different Public servers and one pickup server. Both the site and the servers are sponsored and provided by Multiplay UK, http://www.multiplay.co.uk/. Some of the clans that will be represented for the Euro team are Desire 2 Fire , Nervous Energy, Sanctuary Tigers, Single Lava Twilight, and Skyraiders ( previously Fast Attack Team, a very successful UT2004 Assault Clan and winner of the Clanbase 2007 3v3 Assault Cup.)

Now for the meat and potatoes of the event. The name of the game is Warfare. These teams will play a 14 vs.14 match. The selected scoring system will be based on Clanbase rules. For those that are not familiar with this system, the teams will play the typical first the 3 points ends the map. However, the winner is decided on core value. This means you get points for however much core health you have at the end of the round. The totals are put together to decide an overall winner. All the more reason to get aggressive! The event will be held in two separate legs. The first leg of the event will be hosted in Europe on February 16th. The maps that have beens selected to be played will be Downtown and Floodgate. The second leg of the event, this part hosted in North American, will happen February 23rd. The maps schedule to be played will be Avalanche and Dusk. All the servers that will be used during this event have been graciously provided by Multiplay UK, http://www.multiplay.co.uk/.

For those of you who are not playing in this event but want to see the action, well you guys have been given the chance. The Electronic Revolution Broadcasting Network, http://www.E-Rev.Tv, has also graciously offered to broadcast this match live for everyone to see. Their you can find out all the details on how to get involved with the broadcast through IRC and get your team shouts heard live on air. During the broadcast you will also be provided with match interviews from the players, discussion from the event organizers, as well as live streaming match video and commentary. So whether you are an old-school veteran of the Unreal series or someone who has thought about getting into the action, then check out http://www.E-Rev.Tv on both February 16th and 23rd 3:00 PM EST / 8:00 PM GMT to watch both these communities collide.

Enjoy ;)

Hmmm. Me thinks the Euro's will have a slight ping advantage . Back in the day I played in a CLR vs T32 scrim . We played once on their soil and once on ours . The deciding factor was where the game was played .

The server should be hosted in Australia just to make things alittle fairer .
