I remember Hera. You had a conversion in progress of it back when you were working on Outpost, Mythology, and AllTimeHigh. The issue you had was that the ice skaarj material replaced many of the original textures. What method did you use to restore those textures?

Guardia looks different from what I remembered from UT99. Looking forward to seeing that conversion! By the way, the skaarj projectile speed is adjusted by the game difficulty.
The difference between successful people from others is
not in the lack of strength,
not in the lack of knowledge,
but rather in the lack of will.

that was easy. i had in my old pc made a new ut installation but original map had dependencies a texture package which i didnt have backed up (i had a zip with only ut2 file for size purposes). so when i opened it and then saved it it messed all textures it couldnt find. i had to locate original map + dependency, then go to each surface/texture in the editor and find the property texture, then go to my messed up map and apply this texture. its a time consuming process assuming around 200 surfaces or so.... but mostt are duplicates (floors, ceilings, walls)....
however this map is gonna take time since configuarion is a mess....huge map overall, and i might skip the FPM setup i did back then.

guardia is the new version, revised by someone for ut2004 assault mode.

"the skaarj projectile speed is adjusted by the game difficulty." in which video do you refer exactly?

ReduceDamageResistance is simply Pierce Armor. This was the first iteration of the monster curses. This doesn't have much configuration. It simply allows the victim to take double damage.
BlessProtection is the opposite. This creates a bubble around the monster where the monster will take half damage.
I wanted to start creating a naming convention where curses are meant to apply to hostiles, and blesses (or buffs) are meant to apply to self or allies.
You can simply use the add inventory scripted action to add blesses (or through spawn actors property), but that property is generally meant for more permanent inventory items (things that would last throughout the monster's life span). The monster's spell casting capabilities requires the monster to use an attack animation, and it will not cast another spell until the specified interval elapsed. For curses, this also requires the monster to be in line of sight of the hostile.

not in the lack of knowledge,
but rather in the lack of will.
