Hey this map I thought would be fun to make.

Here are some features of the map (no pictures this time:( ...)


Super Adrenaline Packs. Secret Hideouts. Mini Super Health Packs. Fully equiped weapon locker. Awsome camping spots(for noobs who dont want to die). And Much More.

It's a 3-day weekend in the USA. And most people also take some of the lead-in Friday as well.

So I tried to take a look at the map but kept getting runtime errors because you're using some file that I don't have.

I opened it up in the editor and it tells me that I need 2k6_NaabNewPack1. From the looks of it, you're using some textures for the columns on the altar.

Other than that ... Well, it's a one-room map, and also mini-me style. You did put some thought into the aesthetics here, and it's at least got a general theme, but for me, one room and a few minor areas just isn't going to provide interesting gameplay.


Here are my recommendations...

-Scale the map down 25-50%, so it's less of a mini-me map. It'll still be fairly big, probably, but the scale will be more sensible. (I would just rebuild the map from scratch, it's simple enough.)
-You need some kind of pulpit or other centerpiece on the altar.
-Lengthen out the seating area, and if you want, make it wider. I say, at the minimum, make it twice as long with twice as many pews. Adding space for a third row would be good, IMO, too. Vary the texture between the aisles and the seating portions.
-Add torches or lanterns as light sources, the flat lighting right now detracts from the appearance a lot. Even a basic level can look good with some thought put into the lighting.
-Change the textures on the walls... That particular texture just looks too 2D to me.
-You need to do something for your roof. Fortunately, this isn't too difficult. Just create some angled brushes to create a steeple (meaning, a shape like so ... /\ ...). Then put some support beams up there. People should be able to run around on the support beams and so on.
-I recommend you expand the space of the level by adding a room where the doors are currently that empty into nothingness. It doesn't need to be too fancy, just put a holy water dispenser or something in there. I also suggest creating a room or two off from the side of the altar, but what you'd want to do with those is up to you.
-Lastly, I realize this is a beginner level, but you can spruce it up pretty well without too much more effort. Adding some static meshes will help out in a lot of places. Your benches, for example, need cushions. I'm sure there's some static meshes somewhere that would fit the bill. I also recommend adding some plants, and I know for sure there are plenty available for use in stock 2K4 material. If you want a modern look, go for some potted plants. If you want this to look kind of medieval, add some vines growing down some of the walls.
