Building a new computer!
When I was looking several months ago, there were some issues with Nvidia 650i/680i chipsets. You may want to check the forums over at anandtech.com to see if those problems were resolved.
Are you sure you want to go with the 8600 GTS instead of with the the 8800 GTS 320. It has all the benifits and just a little more crunch power than the 8600gts superclock. Oh and by the way your machine for 1600 to 1700 will kill mine which I purchased for 3300 2.5 years ago.

i know the 8800 gts would be really nice, but it's 100 bucks more here and i'm already pushing the budget here. could always loan me 100 bucks ACY :geek:. haha just kidding. but ya i think the 8600 should be alright for my use at least. and of course later on once the 8800 drops in price i could always buy it then.

- Your Setup Sounds Great , to me.. with the exeption also of the Video card - Take it as a smart investment for the future and spend those extra 100 bucks in the 8800 - Most of the time that pc upgraders lose money is because of buying mediocre video cards and then upgrading 2 times , with a total of 3 times instead of 1 solid good video upgrade ... also personal experience -
