Hello everyone! Let me start off by complementing the good people of DW and the awesome server they continue to maintain and keep fun and safe. Thank you also to the people who fill up the server and make playing there an enjoyable and fun experience for us all!

Now that the formalities are out of the way, let's get down to business!

I've started this new thread to talk to the Monster Mash community about new maps. Recently, I've been thinking and reminiscing about the good old Unreal Tournament 2003 maps. I'm sure a lot of you remember the good times spent playing Bombing Run and just dinkin' about in Deathmatch maps. Well, I'd like to bring back those memories and/or create new ones with some maps that I'd like to submit for your approval, and hopefully, enjoyment as well!

The second reason I'd like to "showcase" some of these maps is that I feel new maps need to be examined and considered for the Monster Mash server. As much as I enjoy the maps currently on the server, some are a little "boxy" (in the shape of a big box, essentially eliminating the need for strategy, or survival tactics). Some maps are also a little cramped or too big, or (I beg pardon to the makers of some of these maps) can just be down-right ugly.

I apologize to those who enjoy the maps I may have spoken about, and I respect the need for high frame rates or easy navigation/strategy and such. Nonetheless, I've tried to choose maps that offered both good looks and playability that I now present to you for your consideration. Enjoy!

The Maps

Bombing Run Maps

BR-10_ColdFront-NW
ImageImage
In order to play this map with Invasion, I simply renamed the map file name to "DM-10_ColdFront-NW", launched UT and played it. I've done this with every Bombing Run, Capture the Flag and Double Domination maps I've come across, and after playing the levels thoroughly, I haven't noticed any bugs or troubles beyond the rare map glitch (using your trans where you shouldn't!). In addition, since these were Bombing Run maps, they still contain the "goal" areas, many of which will kill any who approach to close. In many of these maps, the goals stand out and are easily avoidable.

Another note of interest is that in order to download files from Unreal Playground, you've gotta set up a free account and sign in before you can get the file. Took me about 5 minutes to do, so it's not really an issue. I've provided a link to the corresponding download page for each map.

Lastly, since these are UT2003 maps as opposed to UT2004, none of them will contain the Spider Mine Layer, the Avril, Grenade Launcher, Sniper Rifle, or whatever other weapons from UT2004 I may have missed. In addition, many of the maps did not contain a high amount of adrenaline pickups, at least in the amounts we're used to on some of the current maps on the Monster Mash server.

With all the technical stuff aside, let me tell you about this map. This is the first one I checked out and at first glance, it seemed a bit cramped, but after a few steps and translocations, the map turned out to be fairly large. With multiple levels, simple, linear gameplay and lots of nooks and crannies, I felt this map deserved a 7/10 and was a worthy candidate for the Monster Mash server.

BR-AcidPipe-DCSE][
ImageImage
This was a map that was included in the BR-AA-DeadCatBRUpdates map package. This map has tight corridors, big, open spaces and a huge central room. In terms of looks, it wasn't a great choice, but the sheer size of the map and the possibilities it presented were too good to pass up. If you're looking for a map with room for just about anything, this is one of the best you can get. I gave it a 7/10 just because it was a bit too big at times, and could even be over-whelming.

BR-AcidPipeXmas-DCSE][
ImageImage
The Christmas version of the above map, part of the BR-AA-DeadCatBRUpdates map package. I'm a sucker for winter/Christmasy maps, so I'm gonna suggest this one too. Exact same map, just a bit more eye-candy, Christmas-style! Again, a 7/10.

BR-AnimaExMachina
ImageImage
Some of you may remember this map for it's simple, but fast-paced and exciting gameplay. That's exactly why I'd like to put this map up for consideration as well. With few places to hide, this map rewards those who are aggressive. The map doesn't look too shabby either. 7/10.

BR-B3Holloween
ImageImage
Stepping back a few months, this Halloween-themed map has a fairly good concept. Several pumpkins strewn about (which you can pop in and out of) all situated in a dark, somewhat spooky environment with shack-like red and blue bases. This is another fairly open map, but not nearly as big as AcidPipe. Apparently missing the Bio Rifle, but maybe I just couldn't find it. Only a 7/10 because some of the pumpkins looked "unfinished".

BR-BoomBoomBridge-DCSE][
ImageImage
Another big map from the BR-AA-DeadCatBRUpdates map package. This map is more prevalent to become a "hold-out" type map since there are few to no real hiding spots, and everything is relatively open to attack. Visually unremarkable, this map will test survival skills to the limit. A good map for those looking for a challenge. 6/10.

BR-Contact
ImageImage
Visually pleasing, if not soothing, this map is a damn good-looker. In terms of gameplay, small bases and large, open areas may make invasion play difficult, but still doable. 7/10 for good looks, but weak gameplay.

BR-DoubleDammage-SE
ImageImage
A classic BR/CTF map, I strongly recommend this one be put on the server. Two well fortified bases and a beautiful, but deadly center make this map excellent for invasion. Only 8/10 because despite the map having good visuals, flow and gameplay, it IS intended for BR/CTF and players may find the lack of adrenaline and other necessities vital to the UT2004 RPG experience problematic.

BR-FestiveRidge
ImageImage
As the name suggests, this is another festive map. The flow of the map is fairly good, even without a translocator. This is purely a fun, "ah, what the hell" kinda map that you'd wanna try just because you felt like it. The visuals and gameplay will really get you in the Christmas spirit... even if it's still summer. 7/10.

BR-LSAB_Wipeout
ImageImage
Now HERE'S the summer map! If you can't drive out to a beach to enjoy some fun and sun, this is the next best thing! Lots of eye-candy, bells and whistles attached to this map. The only problem is that if you try to swim out too far from the beach, you'll actually get stuck and won't be able to get out. Same goes for around the mountains and such. The best thing you can do is stay on land, and just have fun. There's lots of other maps that can allow you to explore without getting glitched. 6.5/10.

BR-SandRock
ImageImage
A very interesting step away from the symmetry evident in many two-team maps in almost any game. With two completely different-style bases and paths that connect the two, this map will keep you guessing, and more importantly, exploring. Despite it being a big map with lots of different places to go, gameplay isn't frustrating. Just keep your eyes on the big picture, and you'll be having a blast in this map. 7/10.

BR-LS_Spookyville
ImageImage
Heh, another theme map... go figure! This map seems more silly than scary, with tons of stuff to see and explore. Mostly open, this map is a fairly big one with more emphasis on survival than hiding. This would be another "ah, what the hell" kinda map where you just want to kick back and have a good laugh or two. 6/10.

BR-UTronic_Rev1
ImageImage
Tired of just sitting in a corner spitting out spider mines through a tiny hole in the wall? Try this map on for size! The first time spent in this map will be a learning experience, mainly how NOT to fall off the edge. Situated in space, this map contains "worm-holes" that you can jump to and transport to other parts of the map in a cool and dizzying flash. A constant fall hazard keeps this from being a truly functional map, but at the same time, it's worth trying just to have some action and excitement injected into the match. 5.5/10 on account of the fall hazard. Another "ah, what the hell" map.

BR-Warzone-x
ImageImage
A little bit like DM-Blackhawk, this war-themed map is true to it's name with mines (don't step on 'em, for Pete's sake!), random outside weapon fire, airplanes and other neat stuff to bug around with. However, due to it's relative openness and lack of hiding spots, I can only give this a 6/10.

Capture the Flag Maps

CTF-(NW)DenaliPass
ImageImage
Starting out in a well-stocked base, you get the feeling there's more to this map that meets the eye. You're right. Step into the portals on the far-side of the walls and let the carnage begin! Stepping out into a wintery landscape, you have the option of fighting on the icy ground or the frozen ridges just above you. An excellent map that gives you several options on how to fight. 8/10.

CTF-)EF(-Bl00d-T0mb
ImageImage
I'm willing to give this map a passing mention as the design of it seems excellent for invasion. Tons of forts to hide and fight in, simple, linear access to both bases... The only thing missing are weapons! Unfortunately, this map was intended as an insta-gib CTF experience, but seems to show a lot of promise even if it needs a bit of work. 5/10 without weapons, 7.5/10 with.

CTF-Angkorian
ImageImage
An excellently designed map with spectacular visuals, this map speaks for itself the first time you play it. Although a bit small and difficult to survive in, this one is simple to master and easy to navigate in. 7.5/10. Missing the Bio Rifle.

CTF-Avali-SE
ImageImage
A very interesting and authentic Unreal 1-themed map. Your Invasion experience can take place either below ground in a twisting network of tunnels within a cavern, or above ground on a peaceful (for a little while, at least) landscape with small lakes and such. A must-try for all the Unreal 1 veterans out there. Only 7/10 on account of it's often over-whelming size.

CTF-BattleintheBathroom2k3
ImageImage
A well-designed bathroom-themed map that almost seems like it was made for Invasion. With lots of cabinets and shelves to bunker down in, and other hiding spots to discover, this map has the potential to become an Invasion favorite. Even though the visual element of the map is a bit lacking, I still gave this map a 7.5/10 for it's Invasion-friendly design.

CTF-Christmas_Rush
ImageImage
Sorry guys, but I warned ya that I like the holiday maps! This one has a more "downtown/village" feel to it with tons of houses and buildings to do whatever you want in or on. This map is sure to please everyone from aggressive flakers to stealthy snipers, just make sure to watch your back! 7.5/10. Missing the Lightning Gun.

CTF-DayDreams
ImageImage
An unusual but visually pleasing map, the need for survival is evident the minute you step into this dream. With few hiding spots, this map is less Invasion-friendly than most, but is easy to master and looks great if you have the time to look around. 6/10 for lack of Invasion map qualities (forts and the like).

CTF-DeathStar-TDC
ImageImage
At first glance, I was unimpressed with this map and it's over-used and hardly-detailed dark machine theme. I was about to move on, when I started to notice the interesting, multi-level perspective of the map. With lots of ways to get from one base to the other and several levels of sniping roosts, I decided to give this map a mention. 6/10 for the unappealing visual aspects, but offset by the strategic value of the multi-level "devices" found throughout the map.

CTF-DeepSprinta
ImageImage
Although a well-designed, fast-paced CTF map, this map may be a tough sell for the Invasion crowd. With few to no places to hide, this is another tough-slug map that keeps everyone on their toes. Nonetheless, the flow and gameplay of the map is not without merit, as sometimes, we need a little get-up-and-go to keep the Invasion gametype fresh. 6.5/10 for good design, but offset by lacking an Invasion-friendly feel to it. FYI, I strongly recommend installing the music that comes with this download. It suits the map well, and in my humble opinion, sounds awesome!

CTF-Derelict-Version2
ImageImage
If you've ever played Doom 3, you'll recognize the lost, alone and scared feeling this map seems to ooze. Situated in a space station floating in space, this is one of the rare maps of its kind where you actually feel like there's no escape. Don't let that get you down, because there's lots of hiding spots, weapons and ammo about and apart from looking a bit foreboding, this map seems well-suited to the Invasion gametype. Only 7/10 because this map kinda creeps me out.

CTF-FallenCorpses
ImageImage
Big and open, this map welcomes the carnage Invasion is known for. With a few places to hide, and TONS of room to do your thing in each of the bases, this map has the potential to become a spam fest... IF you can survive long enough. 6.5/10.

CTF-Fatalsunset_Final
ImageImage
Although the bases of this map may be a bit cramped, the middle-ground is a welcome sight. Several hills guard a Redeemer in the center of the medium-sized, fairly open exterior. Perhaps a tad difficult to navigate, one will still be able to find a good hiding spot or two. 5.5/10.

CTF-FestiveWorlds
ImageImage
Oh no... Not another one! Meant as a spin-off of the classic map, Facing Worlds, this holiday-inspired map plays considerably well in Invasion, given it's affiliation with the CTF gametype. With lots of sniper spots, hidey-holes and even a sled to take you for a ride, this is a good candidate for on-line play. Another "ah, what the hell" map which scored 7.5/10 for its strategic potential.

CTF-FootballSE
ImageImage
Finally! A map that really matters! This fun, "ah what the hell" map isn't terribly friendly towards Invasion, but is good to just bugger around in. This one has both bases connected by a medium-sized football field where you can strut your stuff or watch from the stands. 6.5/10. Go team!

CTF-Icebreaker
ImageImage
A large, open map, this one will give you a chill or two just playing it. Situated on a moon, this map has lots of corridors and hiding places to suit any play-style with open areas where you can engage in the spam-fest. Do NOT touch the laser drilling into the moon; if it can do that to the moon's surface, what do you think it can do to you? 7.5/10.

CTF-IDOL-SPECIAL-EDITION
ImageImage
This map is almost perfect for Invasion. Along with being huge, there's so many places to go! Sniper roosts, corridors, protected corners, forts, hills, bunkers... you name it, this map has got it! Everything, except the Bio Rifle, but I may just be blind. Although the map has the over-used Egyptian theme, it's put together in such a way that it seems like your on an adventure, rather than just playing in a map. Out of all the maps I've reviewed so far, this and another by the same author have been the best for Invasion. I strongly recommend this map be put on the DW server as soon as possible. 9/10.

CTF-IDOLWORSHIP-THE-RETURN-BE
ImageImage
THIS is the cream of the crop. This has everything I've described in the above map and MORE (including the Bio Rifle). If you thought CTF-IDOL-SPECIAL-EDITION was good, you'll fall in love with this one. About the same size, it somehow seems superior to it's sister map. There are few words that can describe how good these two maps are, so I'll use numbers instead. 9.5/10!!! Please download either or both when you get a chance; I promise that you will not be disappointed!

CTF-LN5_RapaNui-2nd
ImageImage
A small, deserted island with what appears to be Easter Island statues and several small huts containing weapons inside and ammo outside. A small river in the center provides a quick distraction from the carnage happening all around the map. 5.5/10 because of it's small size and few hiding spots, but offset by it's fresh and interesting concept.

CTF-LS_Horsellcommon
ImageImage
A peculiar and interesting map, it is fairly big and open in both bases with a crashed UFO in the center connecting the bases. The first thing you'll notice in the bases are the houses, which can be hidden inside of, or perched on top of for a good view-point of the whole map. The interesting theme and strategic potential of this map make it a must-have, for Invasion or CTF. 8/10.

CTF-LS_Japan
ImageImage
A singularly gorgeous and serene map that will appeal to just about anyone. Aside from it's excellent execution of the Japanese theme, this map plays quite well too. Both bases offer adequate protection from the ferocity outside and also provide good sniping spots on and around the base. A must-see map, this one got a 8.5/10 because although it may be a little hard to survive, the gameplay and openness of the map will keep you voting for it again and again.

CTF-MoonCraters
ImageImage
A fairly large map, both bases stretch over most of the map with smaller setions of crater landscape where you can find access to other parts of the bases, or just jump around and have some fun. It seems most fighting will be done in the bases, but that's something that could change. 7/10 for all the corridors and hiding places which can be found.

CTF-MorningSuns
ImageImage
This map is quite large, but don't let that dissuade you from trying it. Multi-level walkways and sniper roosts make this a strategic paradise where you can try just about anything. Although a bit taxing on the frame rate, this map is still worth looking at for its Invasion potential and nice visuals. 7/10.

CTF-PawnsKeep
ImageImage
One of the few chess-themed maps that are actually done well. Surprisingly roomy bases connect to a central room with a chess board and pieces which seemed to have been abandoned in the middle of a game. Since the theme, visuals and strategic value of this map were so well put together, it deserves an 8.5/10.

CTF-PineValleyRuins
ImageImage
Another outdoorsy map. This one is fairly large and open with weapons and ammo scattered about. With few to no hiding spots, it's open to interpretation in terms of strategy. Survival on this map is not guaranteed. 6.5/10. Missing the Bio Rifle and the Link Gun.

CTF-Stonewall
ImageImage
A fairly interesting and diverse map, there are lots of places to go and hide. With no real open area to fight, it comes down to hiding and fighting in the buildings located all around the map. It'll be up to you to defend the yourself and the Stonewall. 7.5/10. A quick warning: swimming is not recommended.

CTF-Sulphur-LE
ImageImage
Even though this map may be visually unappealing, it has multiple levels, several corridors, sniper roosts and other strategic bonuses. Worth giving a try, if only for the strategic value. 6.5/10.

Deathmatch Maps

DM-Aztec[FuT]rev3
ImageImage
An interesting, well-flowing map... if a bit small. A fairly decent map, I thought I'd give it a mention as over time, the gameplay for this map gets more fast-paced and furious. Good for those who want an easily mastered, relatively good-looking map. 6/10.

DM-BlueFjord
ImageImage
A small, but deep map with a bunker to rest for a minute. Unfortunately, that's just about it, however, the gameplay is fairly good, as the bunker serves as a relatively good stronghold. This map will be hard to complete but is nonetheless fun to play in. 5.5/10.

DM-Gothic2k3
ImageImage
This is another UT99 map. Other than the striking likeness to the original, there is nothing new or remarkable about this map. Just like the original, it is big, but full of hallways and corridors. I give this one a 6.5/10 because even though it's not strictly intended for Invasion, it's big enough to humor the notion.

DM-GreenValley
ImageImage
Beautiful, big and deadly. This is the perfect "hunting in the forest" map. Few to no hiding spots make this the ultimate hunter map, which fits the invasion theme quite well, in my opinion. Definetly worth a try! 7.5/10.

DM-KeggerParty
ImageImage
Ever dream of jumping around on pizza, beer bottles, magazines and furniture? Well, even if you haven't, you should still try this map. There's tons of stuff to see and do, all from the perspective of a fly on the wall. This is one of the better and more detailed "minime" maps out there. A must-see! 8.5/10.

DM-Liandri2003
ImageImage
A port of the classic map, Liandri is another fast-paced, survival-intensive map that will keep just about anyone on their toes. If you liked the original, this is a must-see! With improved graphics, same flow and gameplay, this map is sure to please the Unreal Tournament veterans out there. 7/10.

DM-Shire
ImageImage
Speaking of RPG... This map gives Lord of the Rings fans something to be happy about. Big, open and lots of hiding space in the hobbit houses, this map's serene look is deceitful, as things get tougher and tougher as you're pushed into the houses to fend off opposing forces. 7.5/10.

DM-sHoK-DormRM
ImageImage
Another "minime" map, this one has the same feel as Kegger Party, but is a bit more... cleaner. Even with less stuff lying about, this map will still please those who like big maps with it's openness and fun. 8/10. It should be noted that the Bio Rifle seems to be missing from this map and that there are Super Shock Rifles (insta-gib kind). I've located the Super Shock Rifles, and, with a bit of help from Nightwolf or whomever, we can get 'em removed.

DM-StalwartXL2003
ImageImage
Another classic, although not nearly as played, map from UT99. This medium-sized garage is an interesting mix of both fast-paced and hold-out style gameplay. If you liked the original map, you won't be disappointed with this one. 6/10 because unlike Liandri2003, there aren't as many places to slow down or hide.

DM-supermart
ImageImage
Although a bit clumsy when it comes to the "minime" perspective, this map is Fun with a capital "F"! With vents to crawl around in, a freezer to chill out in and even a toilet to muck about, this map has something for just about anyone. This map gets extra credit for having tons of places to hide in and lots of places to go. 8/10.

DM-Turbine2004
ImageImage
Once again, a map from UT99. Easily navigable, it seems a bit smaller than the original, but is nonetheless just as fun to play in. However, it's small size will make Invasion play a bit hectic. Also, the elevator pads work on and off (more off than on, it seems). I give it a 6/10 because although it follows suit of the original map, it seems cramped and this will present harsh conditions while playing Invasion.

Double Domination Maps

DOM-Norfolk
ImageImage
Oddly enough, this map actually plays better as an Invasion map than a Double Domination map. At first glance, it seems pretty small and cramped... until you look up. What's so special about the trees? You can climb them. That may not seem like a big deal, but after a few minutes of playing, you'll actually have a lot of fun firing down and jumping from tree to tree. Thanks to these trees, the gameplay of this map takes on a whole new level and nets the map a score of 8/10. The humble, yet comforting visuals further help the map. It will be quite interesting to play through the perspective of a monkey!

DOM-Sequoia
ImageImage
Also situated in a forest, this map does not share the "hangin' high" perspective DOM-Norfolk has. Instead, you're stuck on the forest floor, trying desperately to survive against impossible odds. Hills and unusual land formations keep this map fun and worth trying. Visually, it seems that we've gone a bit deeper into the forest and the safe and warm feeling is no longer there. 6/10.

DOM-Starfall
ImageImage
This map is probably the most true to the Invasion theme, seeing as the setting is a ship landed on an alien planet, where you can either carefully examine and analyze live alien specimens or kill more dangerous ones. Which would you rather do? Defend your base from the Invasion monsters and have a blast doing it. This map is a bit small and cramped, but the main base acts as a stronghold, giving you an edge over the invading scum! If there was one word that could describe this map, it's "funky". 7.5/10 because it fits the Invasion "scene" so well.

DOM-Subej
ImageImage
This map seems to be a mix between DOM-Norfolk and DOM-Sequoia; you can fight in the trees, on the ground, or in the bases, which the other maps do not have. Unfortunately, I can't give this map a high score because even though it has these three interesting elements, the map seems cramped and the only room for fighting seems to be in the bases. With a score of 6.5/10, it's still worth checking out.

DOM-WarehouseDistrict
ImageImage
One of the cooler and more detailed maps I've seen, this map contains several warehouses surrounded by an electric fence (which can hurt you if touched). Each warehouse has neat stuff inside, underneath and on top! The map has very good potential for Invasion both strategically and for the for the fun and exploration factor. I will warn you that one of the warehouses has a dance club with pictures of ... half-naked cat girls. Not entirely sure what to say about it. If it's offensive, I'm sure there's a way to take out the pictures and leave the rest of the map, but the easiest way is just to look the other way and get distracted by something else. After all, there's lots of stuff to do in this map, you've just gotta explore it! 8.5/10. Would have scored higher because of it's potential, but the electric fence and "unwholesome" pictures bring it down a notch.

The maps I have presented to you are among the best I could find. I feel that with a bit more "tweaking" and input from the Monster Mash community, we can refine this list, add improvements and take out things that may not work.

Thank you for taking the time to look at these maps and for any valuable input you may have in regards to new maps for the server.

If you have any questions or comments on this post or the maps I've suggested, please feel free to discuss them here, talk to me on DW's Ventrillo server or chat with me in-game.

:thumbleft:

FYI, there are now two screenshots per map. If you cannot see one or both for a map, simply refresh your browser and the thumbnails should appear.

Turbine is too small, and I'd say that Stalwart XL is probably too small as well. Gothic would probably work okay.

I'm not familiar with most of the other maps, I'll mention though that there tend to be collision issues with 2k3 vs. 2k4 maps. Nothing we haven't dealt with before, with monsters potentially falling through the floor, but something to be aware of/look out for.

I took a quick look at DM-supermart....

Interesting map....if a bit on the dark side.
There are a lot of movers in here...don't know how that'll affect gameplay on the server. Killer shopping carts, unexpected jump pads which look like weapon pick up bases for some reason and a fair amount of teleports. Someone put a bit of thought into this map....down to the fact that in the aisle with the "caution, wet floor" sign, the friction has been changed to make it slippery.

And because I'm a Tolkien fan..I had to look at DM-Shire....

Map is a good size...particularly for a full server. Nice looking...plenty of defensible spots and the smials (hobbit holes for you non-afcianados) are good places to bunker up. However....I did find quite a number of spots where those who delight in glitching can fall through to the bottom of the map. Jump pads make clever use of an image of the One Ring...not sure where the map maker found trees that look like windmills...a little odd, but hey, it is a fantasy world! Oh...one other thing...there's an ambient bird sound that's prevalent over the entire map! It either needs to go completely or get turned way down! I like ambient sounds...but that one was making me nuts...the repetition I guess!

Didn't load these up with the Invasion mod...just did some run throughs in DM mode, so I can't speak to the collision situations that Wail mentioned...that's for whoever tackles "monsterizing" any of these maps! ;)

Thank you, Painless for digging these up. And I'm glad you found your way to the boards!

Thanks all for the warm welcome, kind comments and constructive feedback.

Once we've all decided on any of these maps, I can go in on my own time and muck about, adding Mine Layers, Grenade Launchers, Assault Rifle pickups (for the MP5) and various adrenaline "wells". Please let me know if there's anything else I should be looking to add, and how I can do so.

Also, as for the "monsterizing" method that's critical to a good invasion map, I'm afraid my expertise will probably not develop beyond placing and removing weapons in a map. When it comes to coding, mapping, and just about anything else technical, I'm more lost than most. Monster pathing and spawn points, static meshes, and map boundaries will be someone else's department (I hope). For the most part, though, after playing these maps, I haven't noticed monsters doing anything particularly strange, such as falling through floors, or the like. I have noticed certain static meshes not "being" there, and I'm able to pass right through them, but heck... this is Invasion we're talking about! Anything goes!

If any of you notice something really, REALLY wrong with a map, post it here so we'll know to either fix it, or discard the map entirely. If there are any further questions or comments on these maps, let me know however you can!

Well, I finally got 'er done! This assortment of maps is the best I could find from these two sites:

Nali City

Unreal Playground

Take a look around yourself if you've got the time and suggest some maps!

As for the maps I've reviewed and such, it comes down to the people in the forums to make some decisions, now. I humbly ask that you check out any of these maps in the hopes of finding something you like (or hate) in the map, so we can decide if they're even slightly worthy of being put on the Monster Mash server.

As recently as last night, I've learned how to put weapons/ammo into a map :evil2: so I'll be able to go in, add a miner layer, grenade launcher, assault rifle and even adrenaline, if I can figure out how to do so. Hopefully, if the map is considered for the server, adding those weapons and adren will make it easier for the people at DW to edit and such.

Thanks all for your cooperation and input. Let's get some of these maps looked at!

I don't really have any criticism for you, but just in case offering my approval assists Painless's efforts, I'll go ahead and say that I think it would be awesome to put these maps onto the invasion server.

Also I was very impressed by your writing skills.

Painless thank you for all your efforts in helping find maps  ! I would just like to comment on one map that Karma has looked at DM Shire is a good map and I believe it will work on our server. I have played it some other place and believe it played well. We can always have one of our resident glitch runners(Tsanger or Nightwolf) find the spots and then our lovely and wonderfull map makers editors can fix them.

By the way I agree with Desko, Painless your writing skill are exceptional!
