Black Friday and Cyber Monday are the days to upgrade. You usually have to work a little harder to get the best deals but that's when many retailers have great deals. I don't think the hardware requirements are going to be too crazy but you can be sure I'll have what it takes to run it when it's time.

black friday= the day after thanksgiving...when 99% of the women in the US wake up at ridiculous hourse to go shopping all day. i went once cause they were giving away $10 gift cards at sears. free crap woohoo!
anyway...i hope they only delay it like a week or so...but it won't really matter cause i'll have a few more wii games come nov/dec.

You people crack me up. How many times have I heard, "...my system will run it just fine and it'll look great...blah blah blah..." Which I tried to warn was not going to be the case; but my words feel on empty ears (and in some cases heads).
So November somethingish is really the countdown until The Great Whine of 07. Also known as The Big I told Ya So. IF it doesn't get puched back AGAIN, on or about that date, "...my system will run it just fine and it'll look great...blah blah blah..." will harmoniously change to this, "...omg I can't wait til my system is together. I had to get a new blah blah and blah...it cost me $$$...anyone wanna buy a video card and some cheep RAM?..."
This will be in conjunction with the realization by MANY that all of the $$$ they spent on a system 6 months to a year ago (that they were convinced was exactly what they needed specifically for the upcoming release...god only knows why) was 1 of at least 2 large computer purchases they would be making within ~ a year.
It will also be a sad day for those who finally have to come to grips with the fact that a Quad core running "not so high end" memory will NOT outperform a Dual core running high end memory (assuming both systems have comparable graphics cards AND that the owner of same said Quad core isn't too hard-headed).
Personally, I'm MUCH more giddy with anticipation of the price drop for the hardware I'll need to play the damn thing. That should happen some time ~next Summer. Although I do look forward to the release date; as I do enjoy eating cheese to other peoples' whine.
Fill 'er up boys...I'm thirsty!

Black Friday is the day after Thanksgiving and many people will find things like graphics cards and CPU+motherboard deals at large local retailers. Fry's usually has alot to sell that day. CyberMonday is the following Monday that a few online retailers decided to do the same.
Kabuki, uhh had a little bit to drink? Seems to me the way this has happened in the past is if the hardware requirements are really that high then the actually game play will suck but look good. If the game ports to the Playstation 3 as easy as they claim then I have nothing to worry about along with 2 other machines in my house. I'll more than likely have trouble playing on my laptop in a hotel though.

No...not yet. I'm talking specifically about PC's (I kinda thought that was obvious)...and specifiaclly NOT about laptops. And it is ENTIRELY irrelevant what it looks like if the playability sucks. And whatever you think will be on sale then will be half that price next Summer.KillaDEATH wrote:Black Friday is the day after Thanksgiving and many people will find things like graphics cards and CPU+motherboard deals at large local retailers. My point was that my home PC is better than the Playstation 3 which runs the game fine. And no prices don't fall that fast anymore. Not on upper end hardware.
I dont know Kabuki, I thought I was guna have trouble running it high end but (and i know it isnt the same game) ive been running bio shock with every setting maxed out and it runs so smooth I couldnt believe it. The only thing going to affect the game play for me on this is going to be ping
I wont be able to use the dx10 options just yet but never mind, bio shock looks the muts nuts without it, im sure this ownt dissapoint either.

I always look forward to Black Friday. Normally people will camp out outside of the big box stores hours before they open (sometimes before Thanksgiving dinner time). Laptops are one of the big Black Friday items. (Who knows, maybe I'll be in the hunt for one this year.)KillaDEATH wrote:Black Friday and Cyber Monday are the days to upgrade. But...I wonder...how do you upgrade your system on Black Friday? The only thing I can think of would be to either buy hard drives or RAM because big box stores don't carry CPUs (unless you live near a Frys) and their video cards are way overpriced and even the Black Friday prices are regular Newegg.com prices (unless you live near a Frys). (Can you tell that I wish I had a Frys near me?)
What I'd like to see on Black Friday is UT3 for $25. Last year Best Buy had Neverwinter Nights 2 for $25.
