Is there something I don't know here? Why is it that sometimes when dueling with someone they seem to kill me with full health using the same weapon in a fraction of the time? Example...last night some guy repeatedly killed me with a mini gun with just a few hits, and I had full health, where I peppered him with constant dings and didnt do squat to him. Other players have to shoot me for a good 5 to 20 seconds to get me with the mini, soooo how does this person do it in just 2 secs with a couple hits. I think I know the answer I just want some feedback.

- he was oviously using a minigun hack to increase the damage of each bullet to 70 points - what else !
It comes down to skill and fighting style.
K absolutely annihilates me with the damn alt fire of the link gun (a.k.a. "the shaft"). I have been in situations where I have a little armor left and full health and I'm dead from his link, or sometimes mini, within 2-4 seconds. The reason comes down to his use of it. He pegs that thing on me and keeps it there. He is very good at predicting the game's movement, and the movement I usually do. He also does it at close range, which increases the damage as you can get a lot more bullets into someone from 5 feet away than from across the map.
I know the alt fire on the mini does a lot of damage, esp. if they are in close range and accurate like what I described.
The key is to learn to move differently - which is hard. It is one of my biggest weaknesses - I'm too predictable.
Above all, remember the DW clan creed (at least the one that was up when I joined) - "Sometimes you own, and sometimes you get owned."

One thing I always forget about is Double Damage. If an opponent that I've been pretty good matched against detroys me I have to stop and take Double Damage in to consideration before I start thinking hacks! Watch for the purple glow.
Or I'm just having a bad day of playing.

Hmmm...That seems to happen when Static is in the turret. Give up your turret hack you cheater! :geek"
Actually, I've noticed that with some players. I shoot and shoot and shoot, but nothing happens. Then they turn around and blast me with a few shots. Full health mind you. Sometimes even double health and double armor. I'm not the greatest in Deathmatch, but I'm also not the worst.
I do agree with Static though, sometimes you just have a bad night.

A turret is like a tank that no one ever uses, if you know how to use it!! :boxing:
