Beta Demo out soon !
Yeah, I had seen that. I agree with the poster on Epic's forums saying that they should not be worried about CoD.

The demo will ship with ShangriLa, HeatRay and Suspense. Suspense is going to stress the servers more than any Warfare map they would include would. ShangriLa is a straight up DM map with great gameplay. Suspense is a really fun, fairly flat, VCTF level with lots of vehicles and lots of different strategies to use.
The Warfare map we played with the vehicle side and the turret side wasn't as unbalanced as you seem to think. The orb really controls that map. It's a perfect example of WHY Warfare wouldn't make sense in the demo. That map is 100% different from the Torlan_Necris level we played. The other levels that were described to us, didn't sound similar at all. So what map would you suggest that they release to show off Warfare? Torlan doesn't show anything more than ONS with orbs. The other map we played was pretty much Assault with one team "defending" while the other "attacked". The other maps are varying degrees of both.
The game rocks, the people that want to try straight up vanilla gameplay will be playing a lot of ShangriLa. The people that want to try out the vehicles will play the other maps. There is a lot to learn in the new vehicle gametypes if you want to be any good at them, so the demo is going to be the perfect chance to start getting used to it. VCTF is not as easy to score in this time, so it's going to make it a lot bigger deal to actually bring a cap home in that gametype than it has been in the past.
So 3 maps Total in the demo folks ? //

Well, from Mark Rein's comments earlier today it sounds like we may have the beta demo this Friday.
I also don't think the exclusion of a Warfare map is going to be a big deal. The VCTF map may even give a better idea of how these vehicles are going to perform in a traditional ONS environment (Since a lot of the WAR maps they've been talking about lately seem to have a higher than expected level of AS elements).
