Solid Gold, baby

UT3 should be coming soon with a new gametype, improved vehicles, and MORE PLAYERS! Death Warrant will be there with hardware to spare!

1. Thanks for the in-depth post Toxic. I am honored to be among so many people that can shed light in a clear way on things that I have neither the time nor understanding to grasp.

2. From everything I hear perhaps it is time to consider other games that a majority of the clan would like. We will obviously wait until UT is out and go from there, but if everything happens that you guys think will happen, then maybe everyone can download demos of Crysis, Call of Duty 4:MW, Medal of Honor Airborne, TF2, etc. and talk about results. I know for me personally, I love UT, but it's not the only game I like, and I was able to drag tsanger over to Red Orchestra, so there's hope for everyone! :hello1:

3. I asked for the orange box and Medal of Honor: Airborne from my father-in-law - so that should be cool.

4. Does anyone have Quake Enemy Territory? The screens look good, and I have it coming with my vid card. Curious if there are any reviews in on it yet?
Cheers, Damnidge

I was tempted by ET:QW when looking for a new game to play (after 2k4 RIP :P) but going on average review TF2 beat ET:QW 93 to 84 (on average)

I'm very concerned that they won't have fixed the server browser. Anything less than the features and functionality of the UT 2004 browser is an insult to the UT community, IMHO.

Honestly if the release version is anything like the demo I won't be touching it with a ten-foot pole. It still feels VERY beta and I think they're going gold way too early.

That and with the number of dedicated servers crashing, people dropping off, increased lag, etc. I think it's safe to say the netcode SUCKS and needs serious rework.

Oh well, UT2k4 is an amazingly well-done and mature game, it just means I keep playing it and don't play UT3 until it eventually gets to that point (if it ever does). Still, I won't judge until I've seen the full version.

well this is beta. they've left lots of features out that will probably be in the full version. :blackeye:
i'm sure if they actually planned on releasing the server browser the way it is now that they'd have seen all the complaints and fixed it.
also...aren't most beta testing games full of lag and such? i played the lotr online "stress test" and it was pretty laggy. mainly cause they had only a few servers for the beta and they were pretty full. or maybe that's just for mmorpgs
i dunno...but i'm pretty sure i'm getting the "special" edition or whatever it's called. they're supposed to have tutorials for the unreal editor. those are always nice to have.
