and rob thats the reason we have more than 1 type of map. yes we do have maps where noobs can hide making th emap easy, but we also have maps where its really hard to hide at all. we dont have to junk the easy maps because we always will rotate maps and hard ones will come up
Nobody cried when the WailLords came out. Everyone thought they kicked ass. I thought the server was a bit to hard before, but too hard and too easy are not the only options. Also, there are about 5 hard maps on the entire server, and no one votes them because they are hard; the only way hard maps come up is if the people in vent fancy a challenge and collaborate to make one win once in awhile. All I'm saying is that it isn't fun to not be challenged when I play, and imagine what the monsters are feeling, "Yes, I've almost got him... two... more... balls of plasma... WTF? Where the hell did he go? This is getting annoying, I'm out."
There are a couple solutions I can think of:
1. Make the later waves harder.
2. Bring the Infernals back.
3. Remove "secret rooms" and add bases with cover and take out the translocator.

I'm not really a fan of 3, but it is a solution.

This may sound a bit stupid but if people are finding the server too easy because they are high level, why don't they try one of the other classes? At the end of the day, if low levels are dying early because the waves are geared towards higher levels, we'll end up with a community of high lev players as the rest will emigrate to other servers.

Please forgive me as i am not tech savvy, know nothing about servers, costs etc, but, how hard would it be to have a duplicate MM server for higher level peeps if they wanted more of a challenge?

Well Taz, I could pretty easily make a monster that was completely invulnerable and would always kill you in one hit, with perfect accuracy hitscan weapons that would bounce around corners and kill you. I don't know if he would ever stop being hard.

That would be cool if there were a second server that was for people 150 and over and they would just copy your character onto that server once you hit 150.

Like the Infernals.

This is one of the most resonable solutions stated on the entire thread.

:withstupid: and of course what my mate Bomzin said. :salute:

I spend a great deal of my time in the Monster Mash server. Minus a few "personalities" I enjoy it. I think the work being done on the server maps and monsters is great and only wish you guys had more time in your life to devote to changes to keep it interesting and equally level among players. With that said, I like it the way it is. Waves are spread out well enough to me. Easy on wave one and hard on wave 15. There are several people here with characters well over 250 and while it doesn't happen often they still die if they don't pay attention. They didn't get that high by not paying attention. But isn't it suppose to be easier on your character when you spend all your points on everything to the max? It's fun sometimes early in the morning to play with very few people in the server but not all the time. Making it harder for my 200+ character will likely drive away players. It seems geared towards the 80-200 levels and that's how I think it should be. I don't want to play alone. Thats what single player games are for to me.

I'm not opposed to a server reset.
