Adara -- Love the new link setup.

Concealed Respite -- I like this map's design (except for the absolutely horrid texturing on the structure SMs), but the weapon loadout is horrendous and the link setup makes this map a guaranteed stalemate.

Dreamus32p -- I prefer the old version. I think it is pretty unfair to give one team the flak at the first node, but the other team only gets the minigun.

Twilight SE2 -- Cool new map, and good to see some fresh blood. My experience was that it needs to be optimized a bit for 32p, but we'll have to see how to plays out some more.

Pipeline -- The new link setup is horrible! Change it back. This was an excellent map before, but it's absolutely impossible to defend the cores with the link setup like it is.

I couldn't agree with you more about the Dreamus32, Wail. Showing up at that second node without a Flak Cannon is like showing up at an orgy without your wang.

Yeah I third that, I like a challenge as much as anyone else but it feels really unbalanced on Dreamus 32p.

I definitely agree, the unbalanced gun setup on Dreamus is crap. The other thing I very much dislike about that map is a lack of any good, solid weapon at the cores. Link guns...okay, fine, they're not bad, and you can swing up top to grab some mines. Still...would it kill anyone to give us any weapon other than the ones that are there? I don't care which, because you've pre-empted all of the bad ones, I think. ;)

I haven't tried any of the new setups yet, but I'll be on for a while tonight. :cat:

I'll revisit Dreamus maps as far as the gun set-up. My bad... lol

I will look at adding more weapons, also what do you think of adding 2 more nodes and then eliminating a single choke point so there can be another path to victory.

Dreamus 2 is not a balanced map as it stands, and since its not symmetrical?? or a mirror image of one side to the next, one side will always be harder to win than the other.

Anyhow, I will look into it, and expect a change within 2 - 3 weeks from now.

I'm working on a brand new map, expect a beta by April. Its a large map, and hopefully will be fun with your input when the beta is out.

Changing the node layout : What do you mean exactly? I'm up for changing it around, but I expect people to be resistant to severe gameplay changes.

Yeah, Dreamus2 definitely needs to be changed around. The side that has the rocky entrance to the center node is at a severe disadvantage because of how easy it is to intercept vehicles and destroy them before they can get there.

Looking forward to your new map!

The entrace to the center node for both sides should somehow be evened out, as it is difficult to get a tank/hellbender up one side when compared to the other. As for the node change, I think the single path is what makes dreamus...dreamus. May be fun to try out for a few weeks though, just as long as the original comes back :)

Any chance that BigDam will ever make it onto the Spam Vikings servers?
