Actually the first apple mac os was designed before windows by gates coppying a unix GUI. THEN he designed a PC copy. windows 1.0 which few of us had. Its ironic that the mac gui took up a hell of a lot more memory and you could only use one button on the mouse. ITs ironic that artists liked the kludge better. Its allso ironic that the latest mac os is based once again on unix.
I guess we all have to go back to our roots sometime!
You know a company hp purchased was the reason i GOT IN THE PC BUSINESS TO BEGIN WITH. Compac! I purchased a pc years a go from them and had a lot of problems.
Cardinal rule # 1 Never purchase a consumer PC
Cardinal rule # 2 Never purchase a PC made by the former compac division. They make all hps consumer PCs.
Cardinal rule # 3 Never purchase a high end ms remote keyboard for gameing. version 3 with the the lever does not work with our favorite program.
Basically our goal in building machines rather than reselling others is reliability and compatibility. We test every bit of hardware we spec in our machines to be shure they work correctly. Then we test every machine before it goes out to make shure it is solid.
We also don't want the machine to be extreemely pricey as far as parts are concerned.
By the way, in the comments about the power supplys, LOL at the guy who liked his powersupply because it fit!
Wraith Intel has been working on the dual core chips for a while. they didnt rush them out. If you dont want "bottlenecks" be shure and order the correct SKU for the job. IE . if you want throughput be shure you order the Hyperthreaded emt 64. Throughput is doubled as well as work acomplished being increased.
I will concede however a dualcore amd will probabally run AS fast as a socket 478 3 GHz 533 without hyperthreading. but then so will a snail. (just trying to see if you are still awake :happy8: )
And yes software can be written to take better advantage of dual core cpus.
By the way be shure your sourses arn't biased or have an incomplete picture of things when you listen to them. By this I mean many gamers and online "Journalists" are anti intel and anti big buisiness to begin with and this colors thier judgement. Its like on CBS friday night where the field guy is saying the plot in los angeles was revieled under rigerous Questioning and the Dumbass anchor saying "torture" in response. We have rigorus questioning in this country. You see it in every courtroom and you see it on NBC in law and order. Ol "whats his name's" opinion was colored by his hatred of bush and his desire to stick his finger in the fire ant hill.

Maybe we should call them MACWINTEL.
A clarification that ps is made by orion the product # is HP 485D it is not an hp product thank goodness. oh yes it has dual fans. the suplier said few hsve come back. like I said we will test it first.
the agi is used by one of my suppliers in thier machines they have good results with them.
of the ones you mentioned the aspire sounds the best we'll have to see about that one since I dont generally buy consumer units.

Well I ordered the tt armor case. well see how it works.
I couldnt get the rx-9 or the other Raidmax cases in time for the MS show on tues so they will have to come later.
one of my suppliers has a uv clear plastic case. It looked interesting.
I asked Thermaltake for a banner and all they could send me was a Lan party banner.
Maybe we can have a lan party at the MS event.

Thanks anyway.
well it went off. I was going to say with out a hitch but there were minor difficulties such as a microsoft comfort curve keyboard that was misteriously missing a key when i set it up. Also our sign was too tall. we couldnt put it on the wall so it had to go out front.
I used the Raidmax yellow scorpio case demo we have and put the cobra on the table. we also had the Intel server workstation. People were excited by the cases. :alien:
I also had a few brosures from raidmax. I asked for 50. but atleast i had the lanparty banner. unfortunately she sent them next morning. it cost me 30 for the ups. I thought she was sending a lot next evening and fedex. The hub is 4 miles.
I think we made a good impression.
