I'm thinking about buying this game sometime tomorrow. I've been seeing an increasing amount of buzz for it and some of my UT99 buddies have been playing it against each other in 3-on-3 matches.
Is anyone else playing this game? For those who don't know, it was the top-selling PC game for the past week and it's basically a 4x-RTS; a cross between a Civilization type of game, Homeworld, and a real-time-strategy game with at a slower pace, with the idea being to remove the necessity for micromanagement and to allow people to play a 4X type of strategy game online (without its having to take 40 hours).
Sins of a Solar Empire -- anyone playing this?
All I know is about what you said, there was a lot of buzz about it lately. It was the number 2 seller last month outselling the sims and WoW.

Bought it this morning. I don't drop $40 on games real often; sure hope I enjoy it enough to play it for years.

After having learned how to play and having played the game, including an online mlutiplayer, all I have to say is that the game rocks!
(Epic could learn a thing or two about how to design a game for the PC and how to make a good, smooth, fast user interface from these guys.)

Well, I know this is an old thread, but if anybody is still interested in organizing into a few SoaSE sessions to play together, I'd be up for it.

Well, I hope this didn't die. I would like to find some people to play SoaSE with.
