now I'm just giving my opion but i dont agree with spawn killing. That is not strategy "again just my opion" If your killing the other team before they have a chance to fight then to me it is a sign that you are not skilled enough to take them on. If winning is your only objective then mabey there are other issues at hand. I personally like the challenge of the fight for nodes that can be attacked, not killing them before they have wepons to even defend themselves. Just my opion though. But will never stop playing because there are still plenty of players who are in it for the thrill of the fight.Jackal wrote:Keep camping. If you are tired of camping leave the vehicle. Someone will pick it up. Or move it where the action is. Camping is strategy. Hell, I like camping, most of all in a Dreamus map. If someone doesn't know how to use a vehicle I recommend playing single player against bots. Kill or be Killed. It took me a long time to be a pretty good player and like every player we have to go through the learning stages of each map. If you are sick of someone whoring the vehicles camp out and wait for them to spawn.
On another subject, if you don't like spawn killing don't play the game. The point of the game is to pin the other team down so they can't do anything and you can destroy the core. It is a great feeling being able to get a Holy Shit or Wicked Sick on a Dreamus map while in the side turret of a Hellbender. On the other hand it really sucks when a great strategist like ParityGod hammers the hell out of you with SpiderMines.
Learn quick or die.

Neat trick aside from the wall-shooting exploit. Thanks for bringing the whole thing up though, I really appreciate it. I bet if you park up there and put your shield on you'll draw a LOT of fire away from your teammates, too!
I think the objective of ONS is winning, if it isn't then why do they have nodes and a power core. If you are looking to develop your one on one skills try DM maps. Spaw killing gives our team an opportunity to build a node and advance to the next one without being hammered by the other team. Sorry if the other teams sucks and gets pinned to one node. If my team has you down to one node and the power core you can bet I am the ass sitting at your base or in front of that last node spawing killing in a hellbender. This gives my team a chance to do what they need. There really aren't that many maps where spawn killing is very effective so I really don't think it is a big problem. My advice is not to play a Dreamus or BitchSlap. These maps are all about spawning killing and score whoring.

I tend to agree with KillRob, spawn camping isn't reasonable even in onslaught. You're killing players with no weapons and no way to fight you. You're less fighting the other team and more preventing them from playing. I payed just as much money for the game as you, I have the same reason to expect to be allowed to play as you.
Spawn camping gives you more points (lets you win) in deathmatch, but it isn't considered a stragety there either. Football players could prevent the other players from playing by hitting them where it would intentionally injure them, but it also isn't considered a reasonable tactic in football and will get you fined. When Bertuzzi hit Moore, sending him to the hospital and taking him out of the seaon (hockey now), there wasn't anyone who said "that was reasonable, it helped them win the game". I don't spawn camp, and even when a node becomes locked that I was just shooting, I shoot the ground right away to die and go back to where the real fighting is at.
I can't think of any legitimate reason to spawn camp, and all the reasons I've heard others describe are just different ways of saying that "it helps the team win when I cheat." If there's a way to make people invulnerable for the first few seconds after they spawn to prevent spawn camping, the servers should have that option on. I've seen it on some servers and it helps get rid of the cheating.
Please don't spawn camp and please complain to others when they spawn camp. It's cheating. </rant>

Everything has its place in the game .. its your judgement that makes you a good player or a great player. Spawn camping cannot be avoided on small maps.Especially with the Manta close by. Such as Dreamus. Its one thing to spawn kill closest to the node that is being attacked. It is a Stradegy ( maybe not a good one, maybe not sportsman like) . The ones that should be kicked are the ones running around the whole map spawn killing at every node and core the whole map. You guys can always vote kick someone .
To defend against a spawn camper .. try this ... U see jackal at a node spawn camping .. spawn at the next closest node. Get close to the node and Hit him with a full load of rockets, when hes in the bender. guaranteed to knock him around then a couple more should put him under. As for the Manta . Use the dam shock rifle . Secondary fire as they are coming at you. then if you are fast enough shock combo them .. if not use the primary, as they are pushed back use the primary a couple of times . after 3 or four times of this they change tactics. As for someone just sitting there killing everyone spawning . DONT SPAWN AT THAT NODE . Go get some weapons and Kill them .. Team up if you have too. Thats why we have Voice chat in game .. Now smile get your gun and Go frag. Laters

Today is a good day to die .....
Amen....come and get me. It only helps me to become a better player. Yes it is hell when I am in a bender in a Dreamus map. I wouldn't want to be on the other team. Listen to Whurlwind he is a pretty damn good player. Let me help everyone out...use the machine gun, it is very effective at long ranges against the tank and hellbender. Don't be get upset because I know how to use the hellbender to my teams advantage...you would do the same if you had the chance (and some of you already do). My objective is to win in regulation time.
I really enjoy going up against players like Pomona, Slayer06, Whurlwind and Bomzin. You can learn at lot from watching these players or fighting against them. Take the time to spec a few good players and you can learn a lot that will improve your game. You can stop campers/spawn killers with team work.
All is fair in love and war. And I have no love for my opponent.
Happy Killing,

Tower camping for the deemer in this game is like the most stupid thing , you got 3 or 4 guys there just waiting for the deemer and defending position in the meantime your teammates are getting their asses kick, thats not very smart.
NOW, when the other team start to tried to go and go to the tower just because they thing camping the deemer is also a nice idea and cool and forgot about the nodes, is when they screw themselfs..
I guess on the CLR was cool to do it who knows?
Believe me you will be able to shut down the deemer in this map

One thing that I've also noticed is that most people seem to overlook the value of spawning at nodes other than the most forward one. I can't tell you how many times I've teleported back to more rearward nodes (including, shocking I know, the base) and found a plethora of unused vehicles.
Generally speaking, my experience has been that it takes about the same amount of time to reach a node by vehicle from a node one more link to the rear as it does by foot from the nearest node, with the bonus that you've brought more oomph to the attack. (Not to mention that if you've got the presence of mind to watch your vehicle health and have armed yourself before entering the vehicle, you have a full 100 health to fight with if you ditch the vehicle just before it's smuckered.)
