I've read all the guides and gotten a little bit of help from other players, but my WM is still having a tough time staying alive and he's not THAT low level (at 64). His stats are (more or less):
DB: 180
DR: 50
Ammo: 50
Adren: 105
Wep Speed: 100 (maxed)
Health: 50

Resupply: 4 (max)
Loaded Weapons: 5 (max)
Vamp: 2
Awareness: 1

What do I need to start investing points in so that I don't DIE every wave? Because it's really annoying when I lose my inf link and energy mp5 :(
Thankss :)

Denial! Then it won't bother you so much ;)

IMO, you should have focused on maxing your DB as soon as possible, then your DR/HP after that. While that doesnt give you much variety, and you will still die alot, you might find you lvl faster so you can get past that "squishy" point.

As for what you got right now however: Live with death and try to max your DB, remember, it doesnt matter who has agro if its dead.
Once again, this is just my opinion, and no, I dont have any high lvl guys.
Such is the form of my sin.

Rob is right if you want to keep your inf so bad then level 2 denial but as far as dieing your SOL , Your going to die, the thing is you want to take as many monster and get as much experience as you can before you die and in order to do that Envy hit the nail on the proverbial head. You wasted points in DR because guess what your still going to die with 50 points in there, those are points wasted and could have helped you kill faster and more in turn giving you more experience before you die.

The name of the game with lower levels is kill as much as you can before you get killed and in order to do that it's all about Damage bonus and weapon speed. because you can't invest the amount you need to in damage reduction to make any kind of a difference until much later. This is the strategy for all low level characters.

With weapons masters they have so many things to buy that can make them effective. You could also look into a level or two of Vampirsm.

I'd say max DB, then work on your defense. For all of my characters, once I start spending points in DR and HP I invest in Ghost. A second chance every wave is very valuable. While getting your def up, you may want to throw another level or two of vamp in. Denial would be smart, but I would personally wait a bit. It depends on your style, but once you get denial you won't want to drop that inf link in fear of loosing it.

But that's just my opinion. :blackeye:
Adrenaline Master - Inspector lvl 232
Medic - Camisado lvl 255
Weapons Master - Valor lvl 114

Rob, Envy and Acy have all made good points, and I agree with them. Damage Bonus, damage bonus and more damage bonus! ;) And yes, you will still die...probably a lot! But it does get better! Building a weapon master to a survivable state probably takes longer than any other class. There are so many things to buy...so that's why it's important you beef up the db so that you're earning maxium xp while you're alive.

However, there are a few things that no one else has mentioned that I think are important too! Movement, aiming and picking your battles!! :D

If you absolutely have to be out dancing on the lower waves, you need to polish up the dodging skills! Later on, when you have some stat points to spread around you'll want Quickfoot, Airmaster and Iron Legs...but for now, if you're not taking advantage of double dodging and the quad jump you're just making yourself an easy target for the monsters. I'd also like to add that the translocator is your friend! Learn to switch to it for a quick getaway if you're low on health. Knowing where to leave the disc on maps is helpful too. And on those maps with hoverboards, they can be life savers as well!

There are lots of spammy weapons that don't require you to aim much, but take a serious look at your percentages with the shock rifle. Great weapon for killing at a distance if you're aiming skills are up to it...and when you're lower level...killing from afar is the safest way to go! Hit up a friendly adren master and get him to make you a nice infi +4 shock. Later, when you have more ammo bonus, a Null +6 and when you're at the point where xp isn't a driving force, a nice Vorpal +10 or Rage +10 if you have a +7 Vamp weapon of some sort (like a mini or mine layer) to counter the self damage.

Picking your battles...here again, knowing the maps is important...know where the closest bolt holes are located...which spots are entirely safe...mostly safe or holy @#$% what the heck am I doing here!! Healing or Infi mine layers are good choices for when you're keeping your head down. Infinite links...hook up with a higher level player for xp from safety...well most of the time! ;) If you don't have an infi, see if there's someone with a reloading weapon who will keep you supplied for a round. You could even take turns by trading the reloading weapon back and forth..one round you shoot and they reload, then swap duties the next round.

I know most of this has been covered elsewhere, but it doesn't hurt to have a bit of a refresher on some of the basics. And I can't stress enough that playing in Monster Mash is a TEAM effort. Don't forget to help each other!

And if you're wanting a spot to brush up on those moving and aiming skills, there's a map on my Filefront called "DM-FnG Training Grounds" you should check out! It comes with a demo you should take a look at and then set your bot count to 0 and go practice! :)

As long as you are not alone outside. You still stand a chance to be out dancing from waves 1, 2, 3 , 4 and 6 without DR.

Provided you are not alone, maps have enough space for you to jump around, you drop mines or flak. Mines is more effective. Flak unless it is healing flak, if not you will have high chance of flak yourself. You still get eaten by your own mines too especially moles attract the mines near yourself.

With vamp you recover health, kill it and you use booster to regain health, pick up shield if you could find it.

If you are medic, stick close to wall occasionally to heal yourself.

It is tiring cause you have to keep moving and jumping.

You stand no chance in wave 5 because the bull get you, you cant outrun it even u have max quickfoot, eyes are accurate so u can't dodge it.

Wave 7 time for without strong dr to camp.

For wave 8 and 9, if u want to try. Yes you can try. But I would recommend find a nice camp spot.

On wave 13, it is a camp spot for mostly anyone without globe. Weapon masters could still try to outrun the raptors though. Success rate is higher if you are not alone.

Enjoy.

Everyone here has made good points, so I will just second the two things I think you should do first.

1. Max your DB
2. Get used to dying
