infinite link gun issue for weapon master

Hello,

I seem to be running into a brick wall when it comes to inf link guns. I'm a weapon master and these are my stats:

WS: 10
HB: 50
MA: 100
DB: 290
DR: 190
MA: 50

Vamp: 3
Loaded Weapons: 2
Resupply: 3

My issue is the following:

I've noticed that, for the time being, i get much better XP than anything during the Lucifer round if I use my secondary weapon and link up to a high level player who is attacking lucifer.

The problem is that i run out of ammo after about a minute, despite the fact that my resupply is at 3. I asked in-game if upgrading to Resupply 4 would make things better, but i was told that i would still quickly run out of ammo.

So, how can i somehow get an infinite link for myself without having to rely on players to give me one? i feel bad spamming every new game for anyone who happens to have an inf link.

well i dunno if its a typo, but having 10 ws is a bad idea, and resupply lvl 4 is good, you can use a non inf link, when its empty switch to mp5, and when thats empty link will be half charged, so thats kinda enough to get some1 through a few lucis

What level are you?

First of all your weapon speed needs to be addressed and the second is Ammo Bonus. Ammo Bonus is the area that you want to invest points to in order to have your link last. but from the way you have built your character you last a minute only because you have a very low weapon speed. Your not enjoying the game the way you should because I imagine your not killing much during the waves leading up to Luci because your having trouble killing things, because of lack of weapon speed.

I suggest getting that and your ammo bonus up a bit, your never going to have infi link because at higher weapon speed you will continue to run out because it is a fast fire weapon. You can get more points through the whole game by killing things faster. The strength of a weapon master is you can hit just as hard with any weapon, So switching up to another weapon is not the end of world if your go to say your MP5, and then back to link.

For completeness I'm going to include the obvious: find an inf maker. ;) They are rare though. You can watch the chat log since some people give them away if they don't need them. Also watch the chat log for people giving away their inf link guns.

If you have a mwm (magic weapon maker) that gives you a small chance of making an inf gun.

Once you max your resupply, you can have almost unlimited link ammo (even with max WS) if you manage to carry 4 different link guns (since your regen stat applies to each gun). If you see a monster drop a link gun, try to pick it up. That should give you a 2nd link. Monsters seem to drop plain link guns the most so if you have a mwm, use it on a plain link to make it unique and increase your chances of grabbing a 3rd link which will also probably be plain. In practice this is hard to achieve though. You're probably more likely to pick up a gold shard (and survive) in wave 15 while seekers toss you around. :iconbiggrin:

Finally once you have loaded weapons 4, you'll always spawn with magic weapons (possibly negative ones) but you just might get an inf link from the start.

Increase your weapon speed. With 10 weapon speed you are doing literally half the damage output of someone who otherwise has your stats but has improved his weapon speed.

As far as not running out of Link - Well, Link has probably the highest DPS in the game but the MP5 and Minigun are not far behind. You should always run out of link with sustained fire, but more resupply and more ammo bonus will extend that time considerably.

There's always:
-Get someone to reload you - Not only will it immediately restore your ammo, but it may give you a temporary bonus to your resupply rate.
-Use ammo pickups / lockers
-Use Magic Weapon Makers or Infinite Weapon makers to try for infinite weapons
-Use Rejuvenation weapons to give yourself a bonus to your resupply rate.

Also remember that it is a team game, and most people do play accordingly. If you ask, you can usually get an adrenaline master to make you an inf link. Just be sure to ask early on in the game, ask nicely, and don't keep asking over and over. That, and be patient when adren masters can't make one for you right away... sometimes they just don't come up.

I remember me saying adren masters were lazy when i had a day full of weapon requests in the past. After getting the flaming i deserved (rofl there was no mercy:P) i made myself an adrenmaster and played on it for 2 full days (now i play it when shifter needs a break:P) what i found out changed my opinion, it's hard and boring to keep making weapons for others till everyone has what he wants.. also they start asking again at wave 15-16.. which, if you help everyone, ruins 80% of the xp you would get when not making anything at all.

Now i have respect for the AM's who respond to weapon requests and also i try to get the things i need myself as much as possible..

But if you really need a weap, try to find an AM on the map you're playing at that moment and ask him personally.

When you max your WS, DB, Adv DB, you don't need to link up (although it's nice) but you don't need to link up with someone to gain faster xp. Shooting the luci yourself with maxed offense + using a triple will gain you even faster experience bonus.

Also you don't need a inf link. If you experiment with other magic abilities, you might find some better abilities what a inf can't do (rage to do super damage, energy to keep your triple up, & critical Strike to piss off the players shooting at the luci :P

Ant, i'm not so sure you're right about not linking up because it DOES provide a damage bonus...so if you're getting the xp from that, wouldn't it do more damage than is possible without the link?

MP5 Rage +10=insane dmg / points

NRG Link +3 and TD=pwnage. The other night I had an nrg link +3 and inf +4. it rocked, I just had inf TD with link...got about 6k xp on luci
