Disappearing weapons:
I think this is different than the "merge weapons glitch" mentioned in a different thread. Sometimes if I have more than one gun of the same type, I'll use a mwm on one of the guns and instead of getting a new type of magic applied, the gun disappears! Occasionally it will happen even if I have a single gun, meaning I lose that gun completely.
Picking up additional weapons of same class:
Sometimes I'll pick up a 2nd, say, MP5 and I'm told something like "You got the MP5" (i.e. plain gun) or even a negative gun like "You got the MP5 of Slowfoot -1." However sometime later in the wave and always by wave change, occasionally I'm told "You got the _____ MP5" and it will be a positive gun.
Spawning with negative magic weapons:
This one is pretty rare but I have loaded weapons 5 and should always spawn with positive magic weapons but a couple times I've had a negative.
I just wondered if these are known issues and if anyone else has noticed them.
Magic weapons issues
Yeah, with loaded weapons (as a weapon master obviously), if you pick up a regular or negative mp5, it'll often re-roll itself at the start of a wave. Sometimes it takes a few waves, and sometimes it doesn't do it at all.
Lots of known issues like that, that only come up sometimes. One time I was shooting an infinite link with fire toggled, and it suddenly changed into a Quickfoot. I was on the Triple Damage artifact at the time, so I know I didn't roll it. Lot of weird quirks.

In your first case... if you had 2 weapons and rolled 1 and it disappeared it could just be merging with the other. If you have 1 and it disappears, that definitely seems to be a glitch.
In your second case... yes, it seems that weapons dropped by monsters have a chance to spontaneously change to a different magic ability or plus modifier. This is odd, but it usually seems to work in your favor -- like your example of a plain weapon becoming magic. (not always though -- I have had good weapons that I liked change and often merge with what I already had)
In your third case... This sounds like a glitch unless it is your mp5 or shield gun. They are kind of "special case" guns and I think that it is possible for a weapon master with loaded weapons 5 to spawn with negative of either of these weapons.

There are only 10 kinds of people in the world. Those who read binary, and everyone else.
4013 is only a FAD
And 2989? Well that's just BAD

Hmmm, you must've been there when it happened. ;) Once it was with MP5 and once with shield.BrainPan wrote:In your third case... This sounds like a glitch unless it is your mp5 or shield gun. If you roll a single weapon and it disappears hit your esc key and
watch for packet loss. Over the years when I loose a single weapon
I have always seen packet loss, 3 to 5 is enough to loose weapons.
When you have, as an example, a mp5 null 4, and role another
mp5 and it happens to be a null of any number it will merge. it is not
a glitch it is our version of monsters. DW invasion. We do not guarentee 5 mp5s to all adren masters. If the merging did not work the adren matster would be very over powered. the mp5 is mean as hell now. This is my humble opinion of course.

Ok, that makes sense. I had assumed that you'd never roll a magic type that you already have. Is there an easy way to add a message to indicate something like "your ___ has merged" or maybe just display the stock message "you got the ___ of ___" to indicate that a gun "disappeared"?Cheapshot wrote:it is not a glitch it is our version of monsters. Well, weapons merging is a glitch in my opinion. But it's not something that I am going to spend time worrying about simply because having more than one of a desirable weapon is already an advantage [and one that's unexpected in RPG]. If you keep rolling, you take the risk of them merging, simple as that.
Now, gaining additional MP5s just from dying with Denial - that is a glitch and it's one that I want to address eventually.
