The Invasion Vault
Wail (or anyone else that wants) ping me at my email this weekend and you can have the whole ball of wax. I've put everything into a downloadable for anyone that wants it. I'll leave it on this weekend then I am done with 2K4.
For the record I tried every way in the world to respect creators and coders. I never altered any files, even when I knew they were wrong and took external files to be able to run. I never once uncached any monsters or posted any files put into the server FTP as uncached. If that were my intention, I would have drive-by downloaded all these semi-private servers and posted the custom stuff.
I was getting quite a number of hate emails and frankly I don't understand why. All I wanted to do was mirror stuff anyone could find. I never claimed anything was my own (other than what I made) or tried to take credit for anything I didn't do. Even still my website was continually tried to be hacked and DoS'ed. IWeb is great as a host, they stepped in and helped me stay up, even as the site was blasted.
You guys may think it is sour grapes to post the files one last time for everyone, but I disagree. This stuff is all public, anyone can download it into their cache and it is unaltered. One person is making a torrent for the files so whomever was trying so hard to shut it down has done nothing but make it perpetuate farther and faster than it ever would have.
If you download the website you have full permission to do anything you want with the files. Any of the pictures, maps or monsters I made are free to alter or use at your discrestion, no credit needed or asked. All the monster gallery shots are yours, do whatever you want with them. The good shots are in there too, non-watermarked as well as the raw screeshots they came from.
I would ask though that you respect the work of other makers and ask them if you alter or otherwise change their files. I still respect them for the work they have done and a few a$$hats shouldn't ruin it for everyone. It's been a lot of fun, but I'm going back to UT. There is still a nice mod community active and I've missed the spirit of UT gaming. It's mostly an adult crowd as most of the kiddies have moved into other newer games. Thank you guys here for your support and I appreciate you letting me spam your board with my crap. :grommit:

I love the smell of UnrealEd crashing in the morning.
Yeah I was struggling with whether to post that. Some boards bristle when you mention sending people to other sites so I wasn't sure of your s.o.p. on that :blackeye:
Dirty has hosted everything there and told me he could care less if someone has a problem with it. Gotta love that....
Thank you 40. I have very much enjoyed the (somewhat) slower pace of UT99 and it's fun reconnecting with the community. I'm upping my files to a couple of your members so you guys do whatever you want with them. As far as I am concerned you own them now.

Got it. Let me know if you don't finish, I'll work it out with you.
