Sight... i dont know what's wrong with this modifier. By comparing the source code from null entropy and petrification i did not find any difference. Both modifier have the same properties either, it must be someting else, maby the external parameters are in case.
[MAIN FUNTION FOR NULL/PETRIFICATION]
function NewAdjustTargetDamage(out int Damage, int OriginalDamage, Actor Victim, vector HitLocation, out vector Momentum, class<DamageType> DamageType)
{
Damage = Max(1, Damage * (1.0 + DamageBonus * Modifier)); ---> calulate damage
}
If the "Damage" parameter from the function definition is wrong, the calcul can be wrong. But it also may be anything else.
[NULL ENTROPY default properties]
defaultproperties
{
DamageBonus=0.05 ---> 5% more dmg/+
ModifierOverlay=Shader'MutantSkins.Shaders.MutantGlowShader'
MinModifier=1
MaxModifier=6
PrefixPos="Null Entropy "
}
[PETRIFICATION default properties]
defaultproperties
{
DamageBonus=0.05 ---> 5% more dmg/+
ModifierOverlay=Shader'Petrification.StoneShader'
MinModifier=1
MaxModifier=6
PostfixPos=" of Petrification"
}

I got the reflex of the fly, now catch me if you can!
If you want to really test it you need constant variables. Watching titans die faster on the battlefield doesn't say anything.
A decent test, grab a summoning charm and have a medic help you out. Summon a pet titan and test the damage on each gun. Have the medic heal your titan so you can try each gun out. The titan has the same dmg reduction as it is not affected by the average player level.

Yep, Inspector is right.
I think in the next version I am going to have both of them available so we can do some side-by-side comparisons.

Just messing with you Fanky :)
On another note Retribution Hacks :cussing:
[sarcasm]
I'll make sure to permaban this "MMA>Retribution" on sight, and throw away any email pleading to be unbanned. [/sarcasm]
Also Franky, you're not the only person here who has had ALOT of player time on the server. I myself have been playing over a year now, (who knows how long KarmaKat has! :cheese:.) I've used quite a few nulls, (as had KarmaKat) and now with the transition to Petrification, I have seen absolutely no changes in any way, shape, fashion, or form, with the exception of the textures and name, and as per KarmaKat's post, neither has she. As you pointed out, the coding is even the same.
Also, the number of kills with one weapon can't be considered an exploit. There is no rule stating you have to use x amount of weapons in a game. I use null/petri and freezing (depending on the map) to kill small quick monsters, which obviously, there are a lot of. I (and so has basically everyone) have had many games where as an Adrenaline Master, I simply could not roll ANY weapons to use, and ended up just using the one strongest weapon I could get my hands on. That would result in a high number of kills for one weapon just like that map did. Would that be exploiting a glitch? No.
All in all, it IS a team game, as KarmaKat said.

If i got a petrification mp5 i usually use it only on flying monster (seeker, waillords) and on the vargary. This way i never end up abusing the weapon. The kind of stats i get are usually like this :DW_Mobius wrote:(this is SupernovA...i didn't feel like logging Mobius out and then logging myself in)

Shock rifle : 200 kills
mp5 : 150 kills
flak canon : 150 kills
mine layer : 100 kills
lighning gun 50 kills
Reedemer : 50 kills
But if you realy want me to abuse the petrification mp5 i can do it but i dont think all the other players will appreciate having no monsters to kill.
I'm just saying that trying to restrain yourself to use an overpower weapon and by that way leaving some monster to kill to lower level so they can survive is a mark of respect. Infortunatly, not everyone think that way and i got to admit this is affecting me more then i taugh (it kind of pisses me off). But im aware that we all live in a free world and we are all free to use any type of gameplay (not considering cheats and aim bot of course).

OMG I REALIZED WHAT IT IS!!!!! the new petrification does not show on alot of the monsters unlike the old null and if it does show it makes them hard to see... that way when you are petrifying a monster it isnt targeted by other players as much as when we had the old null...

okay, i've gotten the high score once or twice by only using a medic minelayer (a very NOT powerful weapon), so does that mean i abused it? in fact, if it's available that's usually the only weapon i use unless an adren master makes me a nice mp5 or something. AND, if i get a good weapon combo (like an inf null mp5), hell yes i'm going to use it the entire game. just because a player takes a weapon and uses it well doesn't mean they're abusing anything.
besides that, you ALREADY take most of the kills when you play -especially when there are no other high levels around- regardless of what weapon(s) you used. in that case, we could say you abuse ALL of the weapons. see, this is how some of us feel playing with you :). (and omg, the horror of ONLY getting an 11k point game :P)
I do believe Bigs is on to the right chain of thought because it is not showing which does not allow others to see the monster as petrified unless you get a shot in with your petrification weapon. I believe that may be the issue. because I was shooting and thought I was hitting the monster and not getting hitsounds, could it be that the petrification waves off all other hits and allows the shooter only to score off the monster?

No shame, no dishonor, will run away to fight another day!
