Development Poll: MM Ability
I find otherwise, because my ammo for a vorpal shock rifle for example runs out really fast on 100WSB. I only suggested in one of my other posts that it is lowered for medics to max level 1/2, max ammo bonus required 10/20 respectively, like with an ability when you have a certain amount of a stat, you can buy a certain level of said ability.

adren masters have a hell of alot more skills than medics, and they need to get the base stats too
you cant use maxing weapon speed, or damage bonus as an example, everyone does that

Its Pronounced Taz-Cross-Blade, not Tazer-Blade, not Taz-Crows-Blade, not Taco-Blade, Taz-Cross-Blade

Exactly, and what will make it run out slightly slower is ammo bonus not resupply. If medics do end up getting resupply (and I think they should) it will be a bonus (well deserved IMO), but they should still have the same requirements as the other classes to get it.Jons Return wrote:I find otherwise, because my ammo for a vorpal shock rifle for example runs out really fast on 100WSB..

There are only 10 kinds of people in the world. Those who read binary, and everyone else.
4013 is only a FAD
And 2989? Well that's just BAD
Okay you are not going to buy the resupply that's fine with us, but most medics that been playing the game for ages have been drooling for the use of magic weapons for the longest time.Jons Return wrote:All I know is that if I have to spend days getting the levels for something that won't have much effect on me until i pay MORE for resupply, I won't bother. Why have 50 Max ammo bonus for a medic <%w> of infinity? it doesn't make a difference and there isn't much opening for using other weps without the resupply. I have better things I want to spend on.
Once you've play your medic long enough, you'll find that using magic weapons are about twice (<--- not actually calculated) more efficient than medic inf weapons.
Just being able to find use in mwm, and pulling several Karmas, or participating in ams' energy copying sprees makes the class interesting now that the matches are not the same back-to-back.
One time, your mwm may generate a petri mp5...Then another time, you can get anything better than a poisoned or energy shock rifle, but that's the diversity and variation that the medics are looking for because playing in the same style for their first 200+ levels of their lives is really tiring.

but the longer-playing players will need 5 levels to get the bonus (but this is a side effect of late implementation) and many more to get the resupply. That is a lot of time considering I watched a youtube video where someone in the video was level 235. What seemed like a long time (and a lot of xp) later, another video of a different map was shot with said player at lvl 236, seemingly just levelled up. Ah well, I don't use my boring medic much anymore anyway.

Then those 5 lvls are useful. Shoot, if anything it should be more because it's small number.
Can you imagine how many levels they spend on monsters they'll never use? If you wanna talk about efficiency in points, then you'll buy resupply & ammo bonus before monster intelligence or health.
But once again, if you don't want it...don't get it. But don't prevent the other 85% of the medics out there that want it ;)

IMHO medics really don't have a heap of stuff to buy, but that's ok for me because there comes a point where I'm just playing just to be a medic and heal and kill. If I feel the need to "buy" stuff, I'll just play my Adren Master, or if I really want to get depressed about how long it will be until I can get close to maxing anything, I'll play my Wep Master. :cyclops:Jons Return wrote:ooh ooh yes please! look at the poll!
but still, medics have a heap of other vital stuff to buy so I'm still against the req 50 MAB...
I definitely think that having even a wee bit of resupply especially if it can only be gained at a higher level would be incentive enough for my medic to keep playing. As boss says, using a magic weapon..any kind of magic wep as a Medic would definitely add some variety and dare I say...excitement. Right now if I get a magic wep I'll just pass it along to someone else...nothing worse than getting a Vorpal Shock +10 and having it "peter out" after only a few shots. Kinda the same feeling as taking a lick of your favorite ice cream only to have it fall off the cone onto the ground. :compress:D2Boss wrote:...Then another time, you can get anything better than a poisoned or energy shock rifle, but that's the diversity and variation that the medics are looking for because playing in the same style for their first 200+ levels of their lives is really tiring.
Yea I kinda wish I could refund all my monster related abilities.D2Boss wrote:

yeah I completely stopped with monsters because they have no idea that titan=danger and don't dodge. I beleive there's no way to get them to dodge so I have more faith in DB+DR combo... that should last me till lvl 120! ^_^
