The files that pertain to each of your character levels are stored on the DW server. Once you reinstall the game and patch, put your name correctly in the settings of UT and download all the necessary files after connecting to the server your levels should be there. As Wraith stated he can see what level you are on his end so it's only a matter of getting your installation, configuration and the file downloads and you should be back to normal.

Also as Wraith pointed out make sure you patch your OS with all the updates that have been released. Thats always a good thing :thumbleft:

Theres a fix for that but I can't remember what it is. Either you have to edit a file in your cache or someone can email the file to you.

I think you can delete your current .utx file and then download this to replace it. But before you do let someone reply to this so I am not creating a bigger problem for you than you alreayd have.

You don't seem to be the only one who can't download that file, but what Damaged suggested seems to work for other people.

To note, that "CheckForSplash" thing was definitely a problem with your installation, since I checked the code and that's a completely valid function.

Just got back home and it happened again, I logged on and tried to enter and same happened, even with the druidrpg file.

So, since you uninstalled UT2004, you've:
  • Reinstalled it in a new folder
  • Applied patch v3369 and no other files
  • Tried to go on only Monster Mash
It's just that so far everything I've read indicates you haven't put patch 3369 on, or there's something wrong with it:
Same "CheckForSplash" problem
Another "Failed to find function..." problem

Best thing is to try repatching it.

I ran the patch again and tried logging on..

It seems all your errors deal with the mp5 mut. Try deleting that file from your cache and redownlaoding just that one.

There are only 10 kinds of people in the world. Those who read binary, and everyone else.
4013 is only a FAD
And 2989? Well that's just BAD
