Possible lost .utx file-magma
I have recently installed muffinmappack3 from PWC-Gaming and found that all magma now appears black. I assume the map pack's .exe installer deleted it by accident. Anyone able to send me this .utx file? (It is the one that is used to light DM-DevilsDen-a so I cant play that map :( its a damn good map!)

You need to give a specific file name! "magma" isn't going to help...I have over 5GB of texture files and none of them are "magma"!! You will need to find the file name that's missing before anyone can point you to a source for the needed file.LeroyJonkins wrote:I have recently installed muffinmappack3 from PWC-Gaming and found that all magma now appears black. I'd suggest you open the Devil's Den map in the UT Editor, if there are resources that are missing, it will list them.

OK, I'll try it. I have to find the god damned map in my cache now ^_^
EDIT: Well my cache has been playing up lately and I can't find the extractor either, I guess I will look in the crypt. Will it be in there?
EDIT 2: I found the map in the crypt, nice work there btw. Easy to use ;) . All I can tell you is all the walls are black, where I remember them being some kind of colour, and there are a bunch of little red lightbulbs around the map (I assume they're lighting) but they produce no light at all. How do I find exactly what is missing in the map?

Okay...like I mentioned in my last post, you can open the map in theLeroyJonkins wrote:....How do I find exactly what is missing in the map?
UT Editor, if it's missing anything, it will pop up a list of what's missing from your particular installation of UT.
If you don't have the UT Editor, you'll need to get a copy of
UTDeps File Dependancy Checker for UT2004 Drop me an email to: karmakat at clandw.org and I'll send it to you or you can try Googling for it on the net.

Check your log. You might catch something like Warning: Missing file texture: "blah.utx"
You can find this log after you open the map in the editor and you go to the system folder. Arrange icons by modified and look for a notepad titled, UnrealEd. Maybe that'll give you a lead to this issue.
1. You are in textured view. To see the actual lighting from these bulbs make sure you are in dynamic light viewport.
-or-
2. The light bulbs produce a small radius. Several mappers like to place a million light bulbs with very little light radius so they'll have control over their lighting (shadows' angles, brightness in corners, brightness around meshes, etc...)

Two possible scenarios:LeroyJonkins wrote:...and there are a bunch of little red lightbulbs around the map (I assume they're lighting) but they produce no light at all...
