The Enhanced Weapon Charm issue

After alot of exploration and playing on MM i've come to conclusion that the Enhanced Weapon Charm (or EWC) used on medic mp5 gun make the gun overpowered like the old petrification glitch we once have on the server. Some medics are scoring crazy score and are killing stuff like with an infinite damage +4. I'm really concerned about this issue and I personnaly think this is unfair for the other classes... the medic gun was only 6% more damage before all the modifications... now its around 20% and with the EWC it's just overpowered.

Wail if you read this, I realy think the EWC should not be apply to a medic gun in any case for the next update.

I second that it is too powerful. After two boosts I gained about 4k points in a span of 2 waves. (I usually join around seeker time).

I actually did like the idea that the medics have something worth living for (I wont go fanatic when I have enhanced medic weapon).

Instead of prevent the ewc on medics, just reduce the efficiency on the damage ;)

agreed
but i agree with ant, instead of just barring medics from using it, make the damage lower. was fun while it lasted. felt good to kill.
btw was was its original intention ?

Glad we can agree on some things! Last update I made a change to the EWC that I believed would be clearly overpowered in some circumstances.

However the fact remains that Medics are much more restricted in their weapon choice than other classes, and EWCs are by no means guaranteed, and using an EWC locks in a Medic to a certain gun and requires them to stay alive. I feel like it's warranted that they be allowed to have benefits that reflect all those conditions, and while I will tone it down some it won't be going away as an option.

I hope you will lowered it alot because I ask MMA>Akuma (medic aka Kyoma) when we where in vent to test the hit sound of is medic mp5 compare to an inf +3 gun and another time vs a damage +4 mp5 and here are the results:

1. without the EWC the base dmg of the medic inf mp5 is slightly lower then a +3 inf mp5 (15% dmg) So im guessing the base dmg is around 10% (witch is resonable).

2. With only ONE EWC, the medic inf mp5 is stronger then a damage +4 mp5 (witch is i think around 80% more dmg). That mean the medic mp5 + EWC is 90% more dmg or even more.

Those result are realy scary. Why a medic (a class supposly be orriented on defense and support) can score a crasy score (I'm talking 22000pts while the 2e player have 4000pts) and killed every monsters. Medic gain XP by Healing, Medic gained XP by summoning, Medic can triple their XP on luci wave with their pets and even quadruple XP with pets and summoning charm... Isn't that enaugh!! Do they realy have to kill all the monsters too!? I mean seriously! AM and WM only get their XP by killing monsters, they dont summon or heal, if the Medic get all the XP in every way possible and killed everything in their path like a super solidier on steroid then this class has clearly become overpowerd and honeslty... I just dont like things has they are now and i realy hope things will be balance on the next update.

I agree with Franky, I think it's OP. If my level 60 can get 9k-12k scores, it's much too powerful.

Franky, sorry to say but your methodology is just not going to get good results. A Medic MP5 with one EWC is +40% (maybe lower - I don't remember the numbers exactly offhand). That players are racking up huge scores with that is a testament more to the MP5 itself than anything else.

Also, well said Nightmorph. Although I agree with Franky in that I think .4 might be too high a value for the MP5 just because of the weapon's innate strength, there's obviously a degree of class envy going on here. Medics get something that is as good as / marginally better than what AMs and WMs can do, with more restrictions, and all of a sudden they are super soldiers on steroids that makes all other classes obsolete.

I have played many maps as a medic and not been able to even find the artifact.

i say we leave the EWC the way it is, and who ever gets it (since it's so freaking rare and i just heard/read about it NOW) DESERVES it, frank has been posting a bunch of crap about people finding ways to keep up with his scores, frank you had MONTHS in the spot light of being one of the best and ALWAYS in 1st place, but it's time to put on some pants and admit "defeat" in a team game and let someone take first whether it'd be with a PETRIFICATION MP5 that you HATE so much, or with a EWC, for some reason i believe if everyone listened to you and everything you complained about got removed, you'd be the only one having fun.
I'm sorry to say but it seems that your trying to control the fun we have with certain things. If us low levels had to complain about something you high WM's have i'd start with the additional damage bonus and the RIDICULOUS amounts of VAMP you guys have...gee, maybe with the more damage....and the more vamp you get...the more health you gain?
so why does it matter if medics get an artifact that makes their ONLY weapon stronger?
why would it matter that we can continue to use ONE strong weapon when AM's and WM's can go ahead and use SEVERAL strong weps (ex:vorp,piercing,energy, etc)
i think it'd be best for medics to be allowed to use that artifact and not the other classes since you guys have a lot and we have NOTHING to work with.
all we've ever had got worked with and it's been "dumbed" down, i am speaking of the medic blast, we had the oppurtunity to spam it, yeah some people got crazy with it and sometimes they ate tons of crap and did it all map, but people who ACTUALLY used it, its was quite beneficial in the event that one is running away with 20 hp and their max hp is 1100 and the blast only heals 400, 3 or 4 was great but we have a delay and anything new you guys would have gotten never got a complaint.
