OOhhhhkaay. Anyone think it should have had some raptors or something this may interest you. Finally done with this map, Tank me up. Its had about 50 revisions and people still moan about it in some areas. Anyway, here is the version that I feel is greatest...

Its got 8 types of vehicles included.
Ion Tanks. Normal Ion tank from the assault map. Very powerful but can be taken down with a few well placed tank shots.
Goliaths, we know about these. But this map has plenty of them and they are still the main force to be had here.
Paladins. Stock pallys at the near primes.
Also:-
Minotaurs (supertank at core). Respawns after 2 mins, has a very powerful cannon and 2 turrets for protection (one mini and one energy).
Aegis (2 at each core). Super paladins. Twice the fire rate of a normal pally, a shield that can be deployed quicker and they move a bit quicker than a goliath.
Lobreakers (added 1 at each core and a few elsewhere). Good anti-infantry tank. Weak cannon but a very high rate of fire. Also has homing rockets for the passenger weapon.
Badgers. Wheeled minitanks.
Also introducing:-
Centaurs. Mobile turrets. No match for an ordinary tank, but needed against the :-
Hammerheads. Flying tanks. 2 on each core roof structure. Have the advantage of speed and flight, have the disadvantage of only being able to shoot forwards. Also very vunerable to turret fire.
Btw, the viewshake bug (where the minotaurs view spins around if you are hit by another minotaur or splash damage yourself) is solved in this version. This maps not been online anywhere yet but even at titan there are people asking for it.

Haven't got the hang of the Hammerheads yet...guess I'm just an ol' ground hugger at heart. However I wouldn't mind seeing an air to air battle with these and Raptors. Formation flying anyone?
One thing I did notice...at Node 6, the Lobreakers get stuck being driven off their pads..admittedly by bots while I was playing on my local machine. And foreseably by newbies or the occasional spastic like myself! :blackeye:

ok very cool map but I'm a poor flyer so I love the mini tanks and the ion blasters, The paladins with turrett guns is the coolest thing by far though.

GOD, you put the Hammerhead into this one? Well, maybe it'll help against the Minotaur, which I just PMed you about Vic's little ONE MAN WINNING THE GAME trick in 16v16 last night. Seriously, his team wasn't doing much besides following in his wake and putting nodes up. :p
Get that thing out of there and the map will be much more fun, IMO. Minotaurs are novelty only, Plasma Tanks are sufficiently supertankish for this map.
Oh, and hopefully you kept the Hammerhead stock, 300 health?

:laughing5: Yeah sorry about the minotaur. The problem with the version in EE is the huge (and I do mean huge) splash damage area more than its actual power, thats been toned down. But remember something about the minotaur on this map - it already has Ion Tanks which do more damage per shot and have a higher rate of fire than the minotaur. Also, they dont destroy themselves with their own splash damage if they open fire on targets too close, their turrets turn much more rapidly too. You also have 2 super paladins at each core on this map, they are capable of taking down a minotaur if handled properly. And also on this map, Ions spawn in 15 seconds after dying, Minotaurs after 2 minutes.
Hammerheads health has been beefed up somewhat because it is so vunerable to shock its amazing. Knockback effect of any weapon has quite an effect on this vehicle. Also, the lobreakers (and there are more of them) have a new weapon for their secondary seat that should balance out those flyers.[/i]
