I was just playing invasion and my computer froze completelly after I got the following message:
someone killed you.
...and the message bellow stated.
someone pushed you off the cliff.
Now, I don't know if this someone is using hacks.
All I know is that my computer froze after that message and I had to restart the computer.
I think I speak for all the other players that this matter should be investigated and find and remove permanentelly any cheaters or hackers that may be disrupting the server.
It's as much for the server's benefit as it is for players that this someone will no longer be able to play here.
I never had any major issues with anyone, besides the odd little argument and the other players know me, and know I have nothing personal against no-one, and if others try to provoke me, I just ignore and carry on playing.
I don't know this person, and never said anything to him/her, so why harrass me with hacks?
Please stop this, or players wont comeback to the server.
I definetivelly am worried this might happen again, and feel apreencive to play on it again.
Why should I or anyone else feel like that?
Please investigate.
Thanks for your time.
What the hell just happened...? Hacks?

Sounds like the server crashed or you were disconnected. Often when it crashes players get "so_and_so pushed you off etc." messages. I think it just attributes your death to whoever was closest to you. I lost connection to all DW servers this afternoon/evening (froze my game like you described).

There are only 10 kinds of people in the world. Those who read binary, and everyone else.
4013 is only a FAD
And 2989? Well that's just BAD
I think the largest I've seen this chain was with ten players....unfortunately my death messages can only read up to six lines at once.
PlayerF pushed PlayerE over the edge.
PlayerE pushed PlayerD over the edge.
PlayerD pushed PlayerC over the edge.
PlayerC pushed PlayerB over the edge.
PlayerB pushed PlayerA over the edge.
PlayerA pushed DW>Ant over the edge.
But the folks that remained on the server and on vent mentioned that about ten players left at the same time lol.

The difference between successful people from others is
not in the lack of strength,
not in the lack of knowledge,
but rather in the lack of will.

Last person to have shot someone before they die from falling gets credit for the kill. The idea behind this is in maps like DM-Morpheus or CTF-Face when you shock beam someone off the edge of the world, you get credit for it. It's a bit silly this also applies to people on your own team, but I don't think Epic cared enough to make any distinction.

When they shoot deemer and it kills them, it also kills the other players like it's a random bullet from nobody.

It happened in AkBal-INV map.
Have u ever shot a player (an enemy or a friend, doesn't matter) that jumped into lava or jumped from too high position, and it said u killed him?
That's called "trigger killer".
I know it's annoying, especially when I wanna heal somebody, and it says I killed him -_-'

I've experienced this too. The comp freeze (screen bacame black and sound lag) and then there is a message saying "player_name" killed you. The server did not crashed when it does that to me, it's a client crash. But cause by what?? Since it's not a critical error, i'm wondering if it could be a corrupted packet sent by the server that cause the client to froze. This is just a theory, but need to be verifyed.
I got the reflex of the fly, now catch me if you can!
It was the MINIBOSS, right?DW_FrankyTheFly wrote:I've experienced this too. The comp freeze (screen bacame black and sound lag) and then there is a message saying "player_name" killed you. I think it's probably caused by a disconnect somewhere along your route to the server. I get this often, as somewhere in my route there is a bad switch/router (you may recall times when numerous people have a hard time connecting - I am one of these people usually). Sometimes it is just a momentary disconnect and I can get right back on, but other times I can't see any DW servers (and a few others) in the server browser (yet can see other servers). In other words, my route to Chicago (or at least to the area where our servers are) gets "shut down" but other routes are fine.DW_FrankyTheFly wrote:I've experienced this too.
