I just had an idea for Obelisk that may work

Ok, so remember me asking for help in how to build an Obelisk?

Well, I was playing and had an idea to use the laser turret that exists in UT2004 as base for the obelisk, all I have to do is change the emitter and sound it makes right?

Problem is, that the laser turret shoots continuously... more like a plasma turret than a laser.
How would I time it's shooting rate?

Because it's automated, and targets the enemy where it is and doesn't rely on triggers, which is just what I want... and if I change it's properties to only attack the opposing team, then it's done.
