i agree, people want balance but have been looking at the wrong places. surely fixing vorpal shock +22 will only fix "balance" for a very few select people only (and maybe the reason they brought this up is that they, the high level players, don't want to be outdone, but... who cares lol). the whims of a few people does not generally reflect that of the masses.
regarding high-level players entering the battlefield, exit noobs, i see this all the time, and those newbies complain a lot. particularly this player i will call ****** (i dunno if jkon is referring to the same dude). "oh no, here comes ******, no more frags for us"
as you have stated on weapons, in this game there are lots of variables. but then here we are concentrating on vorpal shock +22. lol. pity.
it might be best if we try looking elsewhere like unused weapons, class balance, new monsters, catching cheaters, the mp5, better maps, etc.

Exactelly, there are so many weapons that aren't used at all, or hardly used.
Why concentrate only on the Vorp?
The game is in such poor balance, as far as weaponry is concerned that isn't even funny.
How are players not supposed to Mine spam, or just hide and Link others, when it's the only weapon(s) available that can get you some good xp without dying in the first 5 seconds of each wave? (I'm talking on behalf of Rookies)
I have 3 different acounts, all with different classes, and all at 100+ levels, the highest being level 175 if I'm not mistaken, and even I am finding hard to survive on the later waves due to the lack of weapon balance.
I would like to use the Rocket launcher and the Amril more often, but hell... put some upgrades on those babyes.
I am a field fighter, I don't like to hide, but with this level of weaponry, I'm finding quite impossible to do so, and have to hide on the later levels regardless.
If you upgrade the Rocket launcher to make more damage and hold more rounds in the magazine, you can have a pretty good weapon there.
The Minigun is also seriously under-powered.
A whole 300 rounds of the Mini can't do 1/3 of the damage a Link Gun or a Mine Layer can.
Let me bump my weapons ideas:
Rocket of Wide spread Ruin - which will create a wider, more powerfull explosion.
Acid Bio - Will keep doing damage for a short period of time after impact.
Flame Grenades - Will set monsters on fire and keep doing damage for a period of time.
Armour Piercing MiniGun - Stronger bullets for Minigun.
Amril of Quick Reload - The Amril is way to slow, and it's hardly ever used.
New weapons ideas:
Anti-Tank Rifle - An extremely powerfull Rifle, slow reload, but can do some serious damage.
M16 Assault Rifle - Similar to the MP5, but more accurate, complete with grenade laucher.
Plasma Gun - Similar to the Link Gun, but would replace the Bio Rifle.
I could go on, but don't want to make a 300 page book here.

@Nelson, not all weappons are supposed to be equal, whats the point of finding weapons then? I'm talking mine layer for example, it's not in every map, but if u make bio rifle equal to the mines, no more difficulty.
Then again, minigun, rockets and amril are strong enough, so is the bio rifle. I'm talkin on experience here when I say:
*Bio rifles give good xp if you have a inf one, don't do much damage, but if you have a Energy bio rifle, it gives enough energy to tank.
*Minigun is a good weapon when ur others run out of ammo, why don't you go play onslaught and assault on pro servers, you'll see it comes in handy to kill. Ok, we're on invasion, but it still does alot of damage, and gives good xp. It never was ment to be a strong weapon, so wouldn't hope on making it stronger.
*For the rocket launcher, it's a verry strong weapon, not enough people use it because they're afraid to do more damage to theirselves then the monsters. If I have a resupply prism, I use the rocket launcher on my medic. So no vampirism, not a healing rocket, and it's a pretty damn good weapon. So if this weapon would be given more strenght, it would be overpowered.
*The AMRIL, what do you expect from a slow weapon? It's good at a end of a high wave when there's a couple of seekers wandering in the sky, that's where the AMRIL comes in handy.
And you want these weapons to become stronger, but have you ever practiced using them. Like I said go do some assault, and you'll learn how to use every weapon.

You can target a monster, and by the time the rocket get's there, the monster either has been killed by another player, or has shifted somewhere else.
The Amril is so slow, that you can ask any player if they would use it, unless it was the only weapon available, they would tell you NO!
Sure it's handy against seekers, if you actually can survive long enough to use it as it takes to reload.
So please don't insult me, and don't try to rise above me, because I know about this game as much as anyone who's been playing it for years.

What??? Where did you get that idea?? I said the vorpal insta kill effect should be dynamicaly adjusted on the level of the Monsters, not the level of the players.packinsheet wrote:So let me get this right...

So, if a 200+ player is on, the monster level usually adjusts it-self, so the monsters difficulty coinside with that of the highest level player, and so the vorp should adjust to that difficulty, and have a higher chance of vorping?
