Vorp shock +22 : how to prevent abuse without losing it

So, to conclude this whole thing about the Vorp...

The server right now doesn't see what's the whole up with the Vorp, so therefore they are not concerned about it.

I personally agree with frank, and think it should be adjusted to the level of difficulty on that particular map and time.
So if the map is at 10% higher difficulty than normal, then the Vorp should have 1% more chance of vorping, so 100% difficulty, you would have 10% more chance of Vorping.
But that's just my oppinion.

As far as choice of weapon to Vorp is concern, that's a matter of personal choice and skill.
If you can't Aim the target, then a vorpal shot isn't going to improve your odds of making any frags.
I have seen someone using a Lightning Vorp getting more vorps that a Vorpal Shock.

fix your tags db the rate of fire makes vorp shock +22 OP, limit vorp to slow-firing weapons

I started my AM a few months ago at level 25 just like everyone else. Level I maxed my WS? 25. Level I maxed my DB? Not long after that. Other than not overmaxing or using triple at the start, I was doing the same damage as all the high level AMs. I was tanking Luci by level 75. Impressed? I don't care, they're simply facts. :ssmile:

How did I level quickly? By going out and shooting monsters, not by putting a brick on an inf link's alt fire and pointing it at someone else. :swink:

It's not hard to gain levels however it's much easier to complain about how "hard" it is to level. :sbigsmile:

Very nicely said Seven. Oh and by the way Nelson a proper character build trumps linking any day. I did not get my levels I earned them as everyone else does on my main characters. When high levels come in the game It is not the high levels that make the game harder, it is when the low levels die. The level is and always has been based on the lowest level character alive. so it benifits the high levels to want to keep them alive. :sclapping:

And what are you gonna do when there's no low levels?

Maybe it's time we just do a across the board reset , I knew the day would eventually come . :idea:

I don't care if a Rookie leaches of me by linking me, all I care is that all of us survive if possible, and hear that sweet female voice announcing: You have won the match.

Linking is certainly valuable at times. When my AM was low level, my observation was that I got more XP by going out and shooting monsters than leech linking.

Thing is Mouse, The Vorpal shot only Vorps in aprx. 1/20-30 shots, and with all the high level players on most of the time, and making most of the kills... when would a level 25 actually get a Vorp?

They can't go outside, since they would get killed instantly; from a safe spot their target field is only limited, amongst other things in the game.
Chances are next to nothing.
New players are better off just linking high level players.

By the way mouse, I'm starting a new map.
So if you want, we can make this OUR map.
