He is lucky he scored to make up for that wide open miss earlier in the match. I could have scored on that ball.

and the US gets screwed by the ref who has been previously suspended for "irregularities". Against a team currently mired in a game fixing controversy.

Well it was an amazing game both sides played really well Sweden got some lucky goals but our defence was really lacking when they were scored.

Once again a Liverpool player put England ahead almost clinching the game...

Still were playing Equador next instead of Germany a big plus !

Slightly late *cough* but better late than never right... lol

Quick summary (I know the USA are so all u Americans can root for the UK now lol)
England played pretty lax in the first half and Equador definatly deserved a goal in the first half. After that tho we picked up the pace and Beckham for the first time in 3 years went back to his old form and scored a goal from free kick

Slightly dirty match with a blind ref but that seems to be expected in this tournament.

Ah well...knew the US team wasn't going to push past 4 games...::shrug::...so I was close. But there was some blinkered officiating in the game against Italy....frankly quite surprised it came out to a draw, should've have been a win!

At any rate....for England....

OGGY!! OGGY!! OGGY!!
Oi!!! Oi!!! Oi!!!
