Hey all, I have made a mini game using a few of my maps, plus some recycled ones.
You can download it here.

Check out the info too.

Not bad. It's good to know more maps are going into the OSM game.

The balance isn't rightly done though. The monsters were surprisingly easy. I wasn't able to handily defeat four warlords at once before until now. Maybe it was because of the open space, deemers with double damage, and the inf adren :P

But you claim that it's a puzzle scenario, not a fighting one.

I won't criticize your work, however I do want to point out that my frame rates averages 2-4 in the city map. That map could use some optimization. & the cricket is awfully loud in the city. Please turn it down.

I also wasn't able to beat the Egypt map (the one that branches into four segments) without using the ghost command. Everything was fine until I got to the warlord part. After killing the warlord, I found a hole in the ceiling. I presumed you're suppose to use a translocator. I don't play OSM with a translocator, maybe you should place a trans pickup somewhere (hint: use a shield pack, then edit it's properties to make it spawn a translocator). One of the trials in the same map was difficult but doable without the trans (shield jumping). If it weren't for the inf adren, it wouldn't be doable.

Thanks for that Ant, I think you are refering to the green room... you can wait for artifacts spawnings by the starting area to get either boots of flight, or the magnet thingy, I forgot the name, so you can either fly in or walk on the wall to get in there.

About the difficulty, I haven't got around in how to adjust that yet, and also I am using the RPG mod, and the monsters become extremely difficult if you are a high level, specialy the warlords.

Will have to lower the cricket noise, and optimize city map.

In version 2, I will be fixing those issues, and perhaps will be adding more maps.
...and will also add music.

Oh you were running RPG, too. You should include in the level description to be sure to include RPG mutator. But then again adding the RPG factor will make the balance monsters and power-ups nearly impossible to handle if you include the monster adjustment factor based on player level. This is one of many reasons why I don't include RPG while playing OSM. I wish you luck in finding the balance.

Well, you don't have to use it, because the game spawns artifacts anyway. Therefore why I didn't put it on the description.
But I will do what you sugested, and have to adjust the difficulty without the RPG mod.

I was just explaining that you could use the RPG mod that for now, untill I do adjust the difficulty for the next version.

I want to add NPC's too, but everytime I try to change the character it doesn't work. The only character that spawns is malcom. I have changed the actor and skins, but malcom still spawns... which is strange.

OSM didn't spawn any artifacts for me.

You don't have to balance the game without RPG mod. Just be sure to list RPG as a required mutator.

I'm assuming you're using the ScriptedCharacter Pawns. To change the skin, just change the PlacedCharacterName property in the AI category to a different character's name. For example, type in Kraagesh if you want to use the Kraagesh skin for this pawn. Also note that if you're playing this online, this will fail since the skin the pawn uses determines by how many skins you have in your UT installation and it differs per player depending on the different custom skins they have. Long story short, unique characters will not happen online.
