Report any issues or suggestions here. Intermittent lag happens, so don't report it unless it is excessive

Hello Everyone

Iam »°TeXñøF¡le«

I have a problem . I cant join to your server and i really dont know why :( I was playing there at the afternoon and than i got crash so i wanted to rejoin but without success. I was waiting and waiting and looking on the screen with text Connecting to (ur ip adress).

Weird is that cant join to all ur servers (Chicago & Server2). I can see the name of the map, the number of players but i cant ping ur server . i see N/A ( i dont have this problem with other servers/ game types. i acnt join only to ur server)

Please do you have any suggestions how to fix it ? i want to play there again ;( . I tried to restart my modem, restart whole pc and reinstall the game but nothing has changed ;(

A router may have went down between you and Chicago. Do a trace route to see if you can even connect to Chicago.
The difference between successful people from others is
not in the lack of strength,
not in the lack of knowledge,
but rather in the lack of will.

It seem obvious that your route path to the server is failing somewhere because both serve are running fine. Try using WinMTR tool to do a trace route of your network signal pathway. Sometime a router between your location and the server can fail or broke, then the previous router must try to find another route but it's possible in some occasion that no other route is possible, thus losing all possible connection with a certain range of IPs.

For example I live In Montreal and before I can reach the MM server in Chicaco I'm passing by 10 different routers, 12 in total if you include my computer and the server (think of those routers has relay station to boast your signal, an internet signal is pretty much similar has electrical current, before reaching it's destination, it must pass by boasting station or else it will lose power).

Using WinMTR can trace such a route path and tell you witch router fail. Route path is pretty much independent from the server admin, same for your internet provider. The algorithm choosing the path can also be pretty stupid (I witness people living 10 miles away from the server going East to Florida, West to Los Angeles, South to Texas and then back to Chicago, weakening their internet signal by literally going all over the US and giving them tons of packet loss and/or bad ping).

The truth is, there is no guaranty your signal path can be optimal, no matter your internet provider or speed, witch I agree, is pretty lame. Their is simply no management in what i call "the internet traffic", and it is really time someone in the world get busy about this matter because more and more people are demanding maximum efficiency over the net.
I got the reflex of the fly, now catch me if you can!
