Q: Is the gamplay basically like L4D where you try to complete certain objectives while AI monsters try to kill you on the way?
Q: Are the Support's Summons a lot stronger and more useful than the Monster Mash ones? I hear you can summon Titans.
Q: How does the class system work?
Q: Is it basically Monster Mash with L4D game style, but with more artifacts, more features and Medic = Protector, WM = Berserker, and AM = Support?
Q: How does the Threat thing work?
Before I jump in and see the action for myself, I'd like to know a little more about it so I don't get completely confused with everything like how I did my first day of Monster Mash.
Questions about Monster Evolution
Gameplay varies on the map you're currently playing. In average, the players are striving to complete certain objectives. The AI (sometimes human) monsters will try to stop the attackers from completing the objectives.@nt wrote:Q: Is the gamplay basically like L4D where you try to complete certain objectives while AI monsters try to kill you on the way?
The game ends when all attackers die, or when all objectives are completed.
It varies in how the Support utilizes the monster summons. Summoning a Raptor in a field with flying creatures wont do the Support any good. Summoning a Queen in a pile of hostiles will guarantee the Queen to live through a short life.@nt wrote:Q: Are the Support's Summons a lot stronger and more useful than the Monster Mash ones? Yes, the monster summons are strong, but you shouldn't expect them to be unstoppable.
Protective: Heals and protects other players.@nt wrote:Q: How does the class system work?
Support: Dispenses ammo, adrenaline, and friendly monsters.
Berserk: Kills most efficiently and rolls weapons
Protective needs ammo and adrenaline from Support. They also need a strong offense from Berserkers (since Protectives are weakest offensively)
Support needs healing from Protectives (they don't have an efficient way of healing themselves) and they also need magic weapons from Berserkers.
Berserkers needs tankers (they can't take in a lot of damage). Adrenaline from Support is also very helpful to roll weapons and utilize their skills such as Shout, Cry of Repulsion, and Sacrifice. Maintaining full health from Protectives is important too since their damage is influenced on their % life.
You'll find the details for each class listed in the link at the bottom of this post.
Both servers have their similarities and differences. It's best for you to find out about the differences since listing them here will lead this topic into an off topic discussion.@nt wrote:Q: Is it basically Monster Mash with L4D game style, but with more artifacts, more features and Medic = Protector, WM = Berserker, and AM = Support?
Experience rewarded for damaging monsters is multiplied by your current threat level in relation to the monster you're damaging. More threat => more xp.@nt wrote:Q: How does the Threat thing work?
You improve your threat level by using skills that strengthen your team.
Berserk increases their threat level through Sacrifice, Rolling, and Maxing weapons.
Support increases their threat level through summoning ammo and adrenaline.
Protective increases their threat level through summoning spirits, medkits, and Life Cord.
Since Berserkers have the greatest offense, they have the weakest adjustments to their threat levels. Protectives have the weakest offense; they have the most dynamic threat level.

The difference between successful people from others is
not in the lack of strength,
not in the lack of knowledge,
but rather in the lack of will.
