For those of you who pre-purchased GW2 and are participating in the BWE's, once you've logged into GW2 you'll be asked to pick a homeworld. See this article for more details on how it works:

The important detail here is...once you make your choice you are there for the duration. ANet says they're providing enough gems so that you can make ONE world change during this Beta event.
