So, this might be irrelevant for some of you but maybe someone has the answer.
How do I get point on Onslaught?
How many points per kill or suicide?
How many points per node constructed? Does it matter the time I'm playing?
I know that at the end the only thing that matter is killing each other  but if ppl knew that building or damaging nodes is better (point talking) maybe it will help the team work.
Anyway, it's just a doubt.

Kill a node by yourself
4 points
Build one yourself.
5 points
Per kill
1 point
Per kill near vulnerable node
2 points.
Core hits give you points, just dont know the ratio between damage and points.

ONS Plus gives you points for healing vehicles and such also.

actually I think all that matters is having fun , but did not know about the 2 points at a vunerable node, that should make people get to where the action is though!
Thanks Hornet!

Well its why tankers on bitchslap relatively frequently are breaking 400 pts in a longer game. Not to mention manta whores on chainislefinal.

The ONS points scoring system is totally screwy, hence the creation of Shamblers ONSplus. I dont find it an effective means of measuring someones ability. Sure those players who get phenomenally high scores are superb players, but among us mortals who cant play all roles easily its not really useful.

Sitting in a hellbender rear somewhere keeping the raptors out of the way may not score a lot - but it sure is helpful. Driving scorpions around that stonehenge node on ahebban will ruin your kill ratio - but keeping the mantas under control there is vital. And my favorite, sitting in a levi on volcano highs wall, blasting up 4 nodes. If the enemy is only active at 1 node (which they cant recapture because of you) that wont build you a score either, but you are still doing your job.

Never worry about your score, teamwork is more important.

You know what sucks though! When you build up your web thingy in a scorp, and you need to bail it quick, guess what happens? As you get out the web gets STUCK TO YOU! :cussing: So you are then left running around with your own green stuff stuck to you, waiting to die from it.

NICE ONE EPIC!

Screw points. Its a game, so have fun! I will never look at the score board during the TWL matches, b/c there is so much that you have to do that will not net any points. I am usually suprised when I see the scores at the end, I will jump all over the place, 2 points-80. It all depends on what my role was in the match.

Usually, if I am at the top, that means we lost.

I am not that good of a player, so, you can figure out everybody's contribution.. ;)

I've noticed that most people who spend time fighting at vulnerable nodes have the most points. I don't even bother fighting people sometimes because I know that our team would be better if this person had to waste all their time walking towards the next node. The key is really get to the right node as fast as possible (which means double-strafe [or dodge as some say] in the direction you're running then jump when at the high point in the dodge over and over.) I shoot an avril at my feet all the time because it's faster to respawn.

And I agree with you guys, the purpose is having fun, but u know, sometimes this points measurements can lead to team work.
Anyhow, I always try to do my job within my team, what I would like to ear is more instruction from someone who really knows what he/she is doing so we can all help to win the match.

I usually have the high scores, either that or it's an off day and I suck so I have a low score but when I have a high score it's cuz I am FAST. GET TO THOSE VEHICLES! And I know most of hte maps so I know exactly where most of the points lie in the map subconciously. You play enough and you don't even have to think. I watch my dad play and when I try to talk he doesn't hear me, so I guess it's all about focus. Of course, I always listen when people talk. It's polite. One way to rack up points is to go to an enemy node that's vulnerable and find 5 noobs waiting for tank/manta to spawn and you kill them all easily, then take down the node. THat's 7 points? right there.
