My first trial of invasion sucked. For one I was teamed with nothing but bots, and I was on the typical invasion map. I quickly ran at of ammo and died by wave 3.

I gave it another shot on the Torlan map, and I must say I enjoyed it so much more. Primarily the weapon caches made the experience better, having a variety of weapons. Made it to wave 8 with a bot team once again, but it was actually fun.

When I finished I had a score of 340, but when I checked my stats the score showed up as -20 for that game. Not sure how the scoring works in that game but it may be a bug.

I don't have a full perspective on invasion, that was only my 2nd game of it, but I can see the game being fun with ONS maps and weapon caches, also a team of humans would be nice.

Vehicle invasion is fun I suppose, but standard Invasion or especially Satore Invasion is the real test of your survival skills. Having to keep aware of your ammo counts, knowing the map, and being able to dodge multiple incoming attacks of all different types from all different directions is a real test of your dodging and awareness skills. I'd recommend it for anyone who thinks they need work on these skills as you'll quickly see an improvement when going up against humans in a DM or ONS environment.

Oh and you're so very right - being the last one alive in a full 16 person server with everyone else rooting for you to survive on the final wave so you can all win the game is a real rush. First time it happened I knew I was hooked on Invasion and it's been a blast ever since.
