How do you add an image to your sigs? And going farther than that, how do you add images to a post?

They both use the same mechanism: bbcode.Zax_Gentoo_Box wrote:How do you add an image to your sigs? And going farther than that, how do you add images to a post?
When posting and you wish to include an image, click the img button, type/paste the url and then click the img* button to close it (it has an asterisk to show that you are still in img mode).
Use the same construct manually to add one to your sig.
Remember, the image is not 'uploaded' so you need to have it stored somewhere online for it to be accessible for as long as your post survives (or as long as you care to keep the link valid).

- Before adding a picture to your signature , You must first be able to post one here in the forums , To do that as Snags said , you must provide an image source , available to be accesed from the internet and the way that is going to happen is to , have the image in some web-server or ftp-server , Wich will then give the file, in this case the picture an SCR , this is availability on the www , Everything you see in webpages , has to be hosted in one of this sources so thats your first step right there look for a place that will host your image file to the www , and that applies to any kind of file you want to share also not just pictures - This is why when you clik on the add image button up there to ad a picture it asks you for the image source , wich will be in the format of http://yourhost.com/yourname/yourfiles/ ... eextension , Just a xample , Then when the post is opened your browser will display everything it's told to and this includes this image you want everyone to see so it calls it from the address you provided , wich is the place on the web where you actually have your picture(file) Theres a bunch of Picture hosts for you to upload and have your pictures available to the www , One well known is photobucket.com , wich is also free .

When in profile , when you link to the offsite avatar , don't include the [img] tages , just http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q97/ ... calvin.gif
