You guys have seperate laws in america for congresmen states men etc for them to avoid certain things ?

That practicly undermines this whole argument !!!

There aren't any written laws to that effect.....but sadly no few of those moguls, congressmen and other assorted power brokers think that they are exempt by virture of their lofty social/politcal status.

Sometimes their way of thinking works.....and thus perpetuates itself to plague the rest of us plebes!

...but a tiny grain of truth in there too....I'm not saying that most of those who attempt to "get off" actually succeed...but once in a while one does and it keeps hope alive for the rest! LOL!

IMO no one should be above the law. If you break one, you should be prepared to pay the consequences. If you don't agree with a law, then you and everyone else has the opportunity to try and change it by becoming involved in the voting and/or politcal process in this country. I don't believe that our justice system is perfect, but it is more fair than quite a few in the world, and the complete antithesis of the types that try and convict you without benefit of representation or without a jury of your peers and then relegate you to life in prison or summary execution.
