I think that will be my next project. and if you've started on it, great! we can have a couple!!

1) opening up a few of the doorways and putting in teleporters to get around the level faster.
2) stretching out a couple areas and making them hidey hole rooms. having several of these will keep the action spread out and reduce the need for getting on the roofs. (will still open up the roofs a bit tho cuz well it's a really REALLY low ceiling)
3) adrenalin pits!
4) vehicles? Maybe a manta or 2?

..as long as their is no running vehicles, that would be great. Vehicle invasion is something we are not going to implement. It usually winds up where one person in the vehicle takes all the creatures down....

Anyhow, I downloaded your other map and will look at it right away. . .

actually, i just got done with a walk thru, and i think i'monna put a couple manta's in. the manta is weak, but would give some flavor to the map. scorpions would be better for the motif, but they can't jump some of the obstacles that make the manta workable. whenever a veh master dominates it's either in cicada or tank.

I've added 3 hidey holes...
1) the building behind shok. i hollowed it out and the upstairs windows are snipery.
2) a building next to the Keg. Hollowed it out and it overlooks the big area there pretty nicely.
3) the crates next to bio. i extended that area and it's pretty defendable, but VERY cornered.

Imonna add teleporters at every gate leading outside the town. not decided if i want it to be random gate destination, circular, or criss-cross to the opposite corner.

lastly, imonna put 4-5 player spawns in areas that will make the most of the hidey holes i've put in. . . and oh btw... they're going to be COVER not campouts. hole up and defend as best you can... it's not 100% safe, and they won't be loaded up with goodies. if you want goodies you'll have to brave the elements

And i think i may very well be done with THIS tonight, hehe.

The manta is way overpowered for monsters. The firing function isn't bad, its the roadkills that kills it.

well i 'finished' it. It should be ready for prime time. Again with the "no tweaky shit" after this. if there's bugs or holes, i'll fix em. otherwise i think i'ma leave as is.

I was going to open up the ceiling so ppl could get on the upper deck, but there's a LOT of other crap to worry about once i head down that road... and tbh i'm just not that into it. Again, my main goal here was to make it better for our brand of invasion and i think i did that.

the opened buildings are defendable, but not 100% hidey holes. with enuf baddies, you might just get chased out. The one hidey hole down by bio should be 100% defendable cuz there's no back way in or out hehe.

There's 4 teleporters that operate in series.

All playerspawns are in some kinda doorway. Yes you spawn as 'reinforcements'

I moved a lot of minor shit around. for example, the flak that was up on crates. . . what's the purpose of that? that's a lot of work just to get a flak... i changed stuff like that.

there's 3 mantas. tbh, it's really just noob bait, cuz after about wave 5 they're just a fucking deathtrap.

Last things last, ambience is different. dust storm (duh).

I would REALLY REALLY like to give this a REALLY good going over with the assets from Blackhawk... the buildings, the textures, make all the ground terrain (cuz it'd be better), and raise the height to about 2-3 stories. it'd probably take a while, and when i got done it'd be completely different . . . but i'd rather keep chuggin em out.

I tried to D/L the file, (12:22pm CST) and I was unable to after trying a few times.

I doubt that the manta's will spawn, since we don't have the vehicle invasion mutator going. Thats one thing we really decided that we didn't want to do.

Thanks for your effort and we sincerely appreciate the modifications to make a map more fun. I would love to host this map, seeing that it sounds much more strategic with the additional hiding spots which makes things so much more fun.

what's the problem with the download? i always test the dl before i post links and a retest here gave me the file. If you try again and no go, perhaps upping the attachment limit to 10mb?

afa manta's go, i didn't realize they wouldn't show. No matter, nothing DEPENDS on them. their hangars will just be mostly empty rooms then.

The manta's will spawn fine. Wraith was under the impression that in order for vehicles to work in Invasion, you needed the vehicle class. oops :)

I also get "problem loading page" when trying to download your map...
