I'll have a look. Need to evaluate each one to make sure it will fly with 32. And I needto be there to make sure it doesn't kill the server. Thanks so much for the heads up.

Well, I checked it out. Unfortunately, only one is moderately suited to 32 players. And it needs a link setup overhaul. But that one should be ok. It's stonehenge, or something like that.

Just to give you guys an idea of how frustrating this is for me, on a typical night when I sit down to evaluate new maps, I download 10 or 12, and I'm lucky if I find one I can use. And that one usually has SOMETHING wrong with it, but I go with it anyway.

Even with alternate links this map is borderline. Vehicle loadouts appear way off and weapon lockers overly generous. I seemed to have nearly every weapon with full ammo after hitting a single locker. As for the vehicles, a Cicada spawning at a node right behind the core? If the other team gets that node up for even 30 seconds (as ours did last night) its all over as the Cic will tear down a core superfast (as I did last night). Those two nodes are in a really stupid position no matter what spawns there really. So close they overlap on the mini-map making if they're locked/open or which team controls it hard to see easily. The .T32 alternative link setup provided with the map looked to be the best of the options there, so maybe try that one and see how it works out.

And you're right that the others are useless for 32 players. Typical "competetive community" maps with no ECE vehicles and choke node setups that are not even close to workable with this many people. Shame really as most of them are very visually appealing. Highlands I thought might work until I saw a tank spawn at a node within line of sight and range of a linked node. Just unbelievably poor map design there. Perhaps alternate links might save it but with only 7 nodes to work with that'll be difficult and you'd still get campers sniping away at people who spawned in at those nodes even if the nodes themselves were locked.

Get out of my head.

I've found some maps that you don't run that work with this many players if you're interested. I also have alternative link setups for some maps you do run that you might want to try so you don't continue to get 3 minute games that are over before people load the map.. If you want to try them out just ask.

Urtho, of course, please send me the information.

Thanks,

Rich

PS, the players took one look at stonehaven, and hurled. It's gone now.
