Well, I need LOTS of input and ideas from you SVA / DW guys, because this map is especially designed for DW's "Flagship" ONS server.

Here is the current link setup-

This map will look sort of like a shopping mall, with planters and fountains and storefronts and pop machines......

Here is a start with the center fountain
Image I've got water now but can't figure out how to make water flow over the sides of the thing.....

Also -- is there a custom DW logo static mesh to put on top of the fountain instead of the bird?

If any of you have ideas for fake but realistic stores, (e.g. like say Toxic Waste's Clothing Co.) or anything DW specific....I'll be glad to put them in, since using real store logos would be too much work / copyright problem.

If you want soda machines that really work, and produce life giving nectar, I suggest you contact that author of this map, and ask his permission to use them in yours (with due credit of course.)

Awesome Sweaters!! That was pretty funny -- considering that I've played all of those people.


Could you or somebody save me some time and make some "Signs" (See below) to put up in front of these stores in either a Texture pack or in Jpeg?
Make some of them 2048 x 512, and some 2048 x 1024.


TW-- I got an awesome Coke machine mesh that doesn't actually work.... but looks insanely real that I got from some map a long time ago. Not sure who deserves credit but I think they are from ONS-Arctic something (maybe Conquestion?) and I modded 'em slighlty. I just gotta get to work and insert them into the map.

Tough to say what the 3D space looks like from the top view, but if it's laid out like I think it is then it looks to me like you have too many straight lines for such a small map, making it very easy to spam down corridors and whatnot.

It does look like a number of your nodes are inside, which is good and prevents the aforementioned issue from becoming too bad. Just make sure that your interior node areas (assuming that's what they are) are interesting enough DM spaces.

Wail -- the map is actually
15000 wide, 22000 long, and 1000 tall in most spots.
and 4 of the nodes in the middle are inside what will be "stores."

So although it is no outdoor monster -- it is pretty big, especially without driving vehicles.

The seemingly long corridors are supposed to add a long range aspect to the game -- and look like a real mall. However, the spamming down the halls will be reduced greatly by objects such as strategically placed pop machines, and fountain / "pools" / planters with trees.

Uhh -- any takers to make signs that were discussed above?....

Apart from the signs -- I want to leave this map stock textures, or it will get huge in filesize.

Screenshots of the halls soon -- but they're not lit right yet.

Very clever Bomz, but uhm, the textures in there could get you in trouble....

Seriously THI, take a look at that map I posted. The soda machines actually work, giving health vials or Shields. I think it would be a cool addition.
