Warlords can definitely hit a target that's standing still, particularly when they take to the skies ... Once the Warlords get a 30-45 degree angle above (or below) you, you really start to notice the effect that adding Z axis has on rocket vectors.

I haven't played RPG with the class system for very long, but I'm pretty sure I know what a weapon master needs since everyone was a weapon master before classes.

Don't worry about the fact that you have denial 2. Unless they've changed it, you can still use it to your advantage. If you have denial 2 and loaded weapons, you'll get the weapon you died with and loaded weapons will give you all of the weapons again. The result is that you'll have two of one type of weapon, which will give you double resupply for that weapon, unless they fixed it.

Vamp will be important later. Most people like to stop at around 6 since the last 3 or 4 levels cost as much as the first 6 or 7. Also, since the max on a vamp weapon is 7, people with more than 7 vamp will actually see a decrease in their health gain since the + on the weapon replaces your vamp level instead of adding to it, unless they changed it.

Health is probably better than damage reduction early on, but you'll need them both.

Other things to keep in mind:
1. If you can't survive one or two hits, more vamp won't help you.
2. Damage reduction only cancels out an equal amount of the enemy's damage bonus. You'd need 200 more damage reduction than your enemy's damage bonus to take 0 damage. It's not a true % reduction of damage.
3. You can always ask an AM to make you a vamp weapon.
4. Enemies have weaknesses. The brutes can't fire missiles when being hit by alt minigun fire. The gasbags can't shoot when being hit by primary minigun fire. Lightning gun hits will stop a titan from throwing a rock. Lightning gun hits will briefly stun an enemy that has a shield up (except queens). I've heard that the bio cuts through a queen's shields, but I'm not 100% on that one.
5. At higher levels, consider speed switcher. If you get in a tight spot, getting to your trans faster can save your life if you put one down in a safe spot.

That's all I've got, and some of it may no longer be relevant. It's been a long time since I've looked at the rpg code, and I understand that druid made lots of changes with the addition of the class system.

I've never played non druids, so i don't know exactly what they fixed. Most of the issues you mention still exist.
