Ran perfect.
That sounds very encouraging (for me). Is that a Socket 939 Athlon?

My current rig:

Socket 939 Opteron 148 (2.2 Ghz standard currently overclocked to 2.53 Ghz).

2 x 512 Corsair Value RAM. (Hoping for 4 x 512 if UT3 doesn't give me the problem UT 2004 does with it.)

Radeon x800xt. (Actually, I have a Connect3D Radeon x800 GTO unlocked to 16 pipes and overclocked to x800xt speeds.)

I'll have to download the demo and give it a go over the weekend.

If your running vanilla XP, XP will only recognize a total or 3gb. Also It will only allow 2gb to be used for a single program. 4Gb should probably only really be considered with 64 bit OSes.

I tried Bioschock on my rig and runs very smoothly on high settings and at 1680x1050 no problem. I haven't OC the E6600 yet and I see no reason to at this point, for bioshock that is. I'll have to play a bit more to see. IT SO FREAKY!!!! haha

E6600 (no OC)
x1900xt 256mb
2 gigs RAM: OCZ DDR2 1066MHz
SB X-Fi Xtreme

Skipped the demo and purchased the game outright.....Runs great on 1280x1052 res, highest settings. Occasional but very brief hiccups like when I turn a corner to find a turret firing all it's graphics at me..... I'll try to run FRAPS later to see what my frames are. Sound is working very well too, though I had to turn my card's volume settings up a bit to hear as well as other applications.

Beautiful game & atmosphere.... the Art Deco education I never had at Arch school :)

Just downloaded it last night. Looks pretty good to me but the game play isn't that great. Not really a good indication of UT3 because I would hope the online play would be fast paced instead of this single player game. I was told it didn't like Vista but that's not true at all. My system:

Vista x64
Core2Duo 6600
Single 8800 GTS 320 - I have another one but haven't tried the game with SLI enabled.
8 gigs of DDR2 RAM

Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4400+
7900 GS geforce video card

Well, the only thing that you infer from Bioshock with regards to UT3 is graphics. Gameplay is going to be much different. All they share is the engine. And actually, the Bioshock people employed some people just to work on liquids.

Roboblitz also uses UE3. The play is nothing like unreal.

From Wikipedia all of these games use UE3:
