Mine is erratic...anywhere from 1.5 to 6.0....I guess it also depends on time of day...amount of people in the area online etc etc. I'm kinda pissed though...Cox upgraded to 9megs but I never get that. For the extra money you can now upgrade to 12.

you do not want Comcast.
Goto DSL reports read the comcast HSI forums. The changes they have made in my area in the last months have ruined game play.

comcast's rating is area dependent I think Joe. I do agree with you that overall in all states comcast is not so hot, and have read the dslreports info when I was considering switching from SBC (AT&T) dsl to comcast, but in my area it is amazingly fast. I may be an exception to the rule, but cheapshot is near me (60 miles south) so I thought it may be worth the try for him.
In my area they just recently upgraded everything to fiber and digital, etc. etc. and I have noticed more stability since then. All I know is with DSL I had all sorts of lag issues and crappy things. Since I have gotten comcast, I have no lag issues whatsoever.

So, for UT purposes, what are the magic thresholds above which more bandwidth doesn't matter?
