haha this made me laugh when i read this, mostly because i found much of it to be true. I can recall makin my mother mow the yard because i would rather play videogames than do that. many times when my mother enters the room and i die, i blame everything on her and tell her to leave.
I remember one point in my life i would ignore my friends phone calls and just stay inside and play ut.
i have been known to completly changing my sleeping patterns to play ut at certain times of the day.
but oh well i know my father is worse than me : )
Does this apply to anyone here???
I know where a lot of these people are coming from, I live in a remote-ish village no bus' or any kind of public transport to take me into town. When there are only a couple of ppl your age this makes is a pretty boring place to live. So for about 2 years 13-15 I played everquest practicaly none stop.
Looking back I dont think id change anything it taught me a valuable lesson and I made some friends whilst playing, but I dare say ill never play games any where near as much ever again, 2 years of constant gaming really makes you appreciate the others things life has to offer.

Alpha, i don't agree actually;
I'm a very dedicated MMORPG player, and the reason for that is mostly one sided to me or people in the same situation.
I live in a shit town with in overall shit people, the mentality of people here doesn't contain the thought of closing your eyes for eternity while knowing you had a great run. Instead, it's all about nagging, whining, and money. The only reason that i live here is that it's for my dad's job, and that it's closest to my school, which is the only school in my country that has an official Microsoft certificate for educating students, so it's not like i enjoy living here. When i play Lineage 2 though, i have a nice world where i see other people which in overall are very nice. Theres allot to do, and since a while i have been adminning a server with a couple of friends of mine, and the work never ends. I'm planning to play the retail server soon though, because then i can play without any trouble. I think good MMORPG's (no, that does not include WoW) can be very fun to play, different in allot of ways and a good thing to spend time with. The game doesnt have a specific start, your character has. And the game never ends, so the world goes on and on. People like me can value a game like that allot, to have it as an alternative on the fun you expected from real life. As long as i live here, i will play MMORPG's, and maybe even after i moved, i'm not sure. But till so far, i found a great way to kill the time i have to be here.

**interesting... (lol)
Well, hmm's I'm the wife that actually games with my husband, so there's no quarrels unless he kills me 20 times, then I get a little mad. But being with him for over 8 years now, he is actually the one who got me into gaming in the first place, MMORPG's actually, and now we've got my son into gaming as well. So usually there's no quarrels when it comes to gaming, but usually you don't find many couples in general that game together. Most of my gaming years have been spent in the world of EQ really... but I sure as hell enjoyed alot of that time.
One thing I will say, when we started my son out... (considering he's now 15)... but at first we were sure how well it would go, now looking back it has it's ups and downs. He has to learn how to interact with other people and we all know there's idiots out there and you always have to watch, but at times I keep my eye on him as a mother would do.
