1. Beside the spell check, more color options, more HTML coding available, is there anything new we should be aware of??

2. Do you mind if I test out this "attachment" feature (I see on the bottom of the reply screen?) here??

3. Is it possible to "refresh" or add options to a poll you've done awhile ago??

1. What is the "group" system. Is it like a "FaceBook" group feature, or is it more proper than that?

2. Foe list?? What is this for??

3. How can I tell who list me (friendly or foe...ly)?

4. Where can we find stats for the website?

Don't take me wrong, I love this new site. Looks better (maybe if we could tweak the colors a bit then it'll be perfect), layout is improved (I got the hang of this :D, & it seems to be much faster than the other one (or maybe it's that I switched to firefox this weekend :P )

GJ to those who helped with this site
Boss, if you read the FAQ (link at the top of forum) "some" of those questions are answered. An admin will have to answer the rest for you though.

Well I have to say I'm extremely impressed. I really love the new site. You guys have done a wonderful job. I can't thank you enough for all of your hard work.

It's too early to expect positive opinions. Most people will like the old ways at first. It's what they are comfortable with. Give it a couple of weeks. The old site was a jalopy. This site is a sleek sports car in comparison, you will see.

Now if only I can get online once in a while to do things other than work!

Beautiful job!

Ya toxic at first i thought it was bad becos i got so used to the last site and it was awesome, but after looking around etc its pretty cool, one bad thing is you dont have a Recent topics, on the forum part, so you have to look through all the categorys to see new posts.

Actually Chav you do have recent link in the top right hand corner,(View new posts) as soon as you log onto the forums. I was concerned about the same thing until I did a little snooping and testing. It's just like the previous site except you have the option to organize and customize a little easier.

I like the new look of the site, nice work. My only comment would be that I find the background with the transparency behind the text to be a bit distracting.

I'm venturing into this new cave over here & I stumbled over a few questions:

ShoutBox
1. Can we make it scroll automatically?
no not at current time , maybe in future
2. How can we view shout history?
scroll back , how many more then 10 do u need to go .
3. How can we edit/delete our comments we made in the ShoutBox?
you can't best think about what you are going to say
Forums
1. Beside the spell check, more color options, more HTML coding available, is there anything new we should be aware of??
right of hand , drag and drop pictures to your post , you can check out all the differances in features here.
http://www.phpbb.com/about/features/

2. Do you mind if I test out this "attachment" feature (I see on the bottom of the reply screen?) here??
nope , if this turns into an issue because of BW or file sizes we will deal with it in the future
3. Is it possible to "refresh" or add options to a poll you've done awhile ago??
have no idea . but if the poll has been going awhile , why not just start another if you want to change options . If you started it go ahead and modify if you can

Profile
1. What is the "group" system. Is it like a "FaceBook" group feature, or is it more proper than that?
we had groups before , our groups are registered users , clan members , moderators , administrators .
2. Foe list?? What is this for??
came with the forums was actually looking for a way to turn it off . Once Community builder goes to it's final release , hopefully soon , we will link the web profile with web site profile , this is going to take some time I fear .

3. How can I tell who list me (friendly or foe...ly)?
I would try using the connections tab in your profile , forget about the friend or foe .

4. Where can we find stats for the website?
What sort of stats , did we have that before ?

Keep in mind we went public with the new site maybe just alittle sooner then we should have , but due to other things going on it was the best time and had to be done . The old site used the forums profile exclusively , at current we have duplicates of profiles going on until things get finalized .

I like the old shoutbox where you could read posts since the box was available. It's interesting how fast time goes by & how conversations shifts subjects.

Sometimes people (including myself) make accidental posts in the shout box by posting twice or the smilies didn't work. It'll be more comfortable to have a "safety net"

BrainPan pointed out the FAQs. That helped me out. Thanks anyways ^.^

DW_Bomzin wrote:4. Where can we find stats for the website?

The old website, you could check the stats in many things:
-how much memory the total amount everyone is using by attachments, avatars, etc...
-how many posts per day & topics per day with everyone
-The most frequent Smilies used
It's just a fun thing to read once a month :P
The difference between successful people from others is
not in the lack of strength,
not in the lack of knowledge,
but rather in the lack of will.
