It's even funnier to buy it as a medic, as the skill applies to your pets. Anything that hits your pets, (Including other players) will get knocked back. :)

Just out of curiosity, I created a character just to buy the required 50 DR and as much Retaliation as possible and see what it does. I was surprised to find out that I wasn't getting any XP from it, not even when I rolled a Retaliation weapon... but after reading the Info I noticed it says that Damage Bonus is applied to Retaliation damage. Once I put some points into Damage Bonus (about 100) I did start getting XP. Apparently neither work without DB.

Another little bug I found, Retaliation does not give you XP if you're using a Mana Shield weapon, even if you have no adrenaline.

Previously I have rolled a retaliation weapon (on a character with no Retaliation skill), +1ed it, and used the Double Magic modifier letting Luci hit me. I got about 500 XP, so it does work.

It doesn't give you much XP, but I'm wondering what the cumulative effect would be if you were to buy the skill as a fairly low level and play the character a lot. A few XP per hit isn't much, but after you've been hit a few tens or hundreds of thousands of times over the months, it might add up.

Unfortunately, no way to see a counter for it.

a while ago I started a new char to test the retaliation skill. only 50 DR and a small amount of DB and the other poitns in retaliation and it did give me some xp. not that much. I had lvl 6 on my wm when it was lvl 260ish and the yellow angus dudes and the shrikes gave me xp when they hit me most other things didnt.
The retaliation weapon modifier works great only not on all shrikes I guess.
